the word “understanding” in the Greek is asunetos meaning unintelligent, impl wicked - foolish, without understanding
Holy cow! One little verse, so much controversy! I guess it’s all in the translation after all. Thanks for the links, all. As I said, I’m not equipped to argue the issue, but I do find it interesting.
FWIW, the “meyer” version reads thus: “Thou hast been mugged, and yet thou art still a democRAT?” :-)
