Okay, so I got his title wrong; he was some high functionary in their church. Neither he nor his daughter made attempts to convert me, but there was an “understanding” (from her) that future marriage was not in the cards without that. As I had no intention to do that, the relationship deteriorated but the separation was amicable. It was not necessary for me to spew hatred at her or her religion.
You see, people can be misguided (in our view) in their beliefs, but that doesn’t make them bad people.
