” They could start their investigation right here at FR, based on some of the downright hateful posts here about Mormons.”

“REALLY? Is that so Pax? If you don’t point to the post (and the FReeper or FReepers whom you now accuse of arson) then you are a COWARD. If you can’t, you are a LIAR.”

I believe that he was being facetious about the investigation part but not about the posts part. If you haven’t seen some of the vicious attacks against LDS on here, then you haven’t been reading those posts. And it’s not my job to show them to you, it’s yours to do the research.

Not a Mormon here, don’t believe in Mormonism, not for Myth, but most Mormons I’ve known are decent law abiding clean cut people. Like all religions, there are exceptions (e.g. Harry Reid). Bashing of Mormons, Catholics, et al for their religious beliefs is unbecoming of Freepers. On the other hand, specific actions or inactions or statements that encourage or support lawlessness or common decency are open territory. And just like issues of illegal immigration, abortion, et al there is nothing wrong with voting against someone because you don’t share their religious beliefs.

Sorry, that's a crock. You make the accusation, you back it up. I have never seen a vicious attack against LDS here and I assure you, I read the posts.

I'll say the same to you: prove it or retract it.

Pointing out false doctrine is a vicious attack?

And it’s not my job to show them to you, it’s yours to do the research.

However you do make the assertions, so there is this matter of "burden of proof"....

Not a Mormon here, don’t believe in Mormonism, not for Myth, but most Mormons I’ve known are decent law abiding clean cut people.

Yes, and there is the rub, many are very decent people being manipulated by those over them. It runs so deep that at times you have to literally inundate them with the truth and exposure to the mythic and heretical cult they are trapped in. It take much to escape it's clutches and numerous approaches to do so.

You will forgive us if "loving" and "admiring" them right into the gates of hell itself is not what some of us choose to do...

Have YOU been reading those posts?

Every day 52,000 mormons go door-to-door all over the world and tell folks that mormonism is the ONLY true church and whatever Christian faith these people have is false. I suppose this is to be ignored, right?

"Make the posters the issue, not the issues."

As of December 31, 2009, there were 51,736 LDS missionaries serving in 344 church missions throughout the world. Their work, often in cooperation with local members, resulted in 280,106 convert baptisms in 2009.[12] Author David Stewart points out that the number of convert baptisms per missionary per year has fallen from a high of 8.03 in 1989 to just 4.67 in 2005.[13] He argues that the number of converts would increase if Mormon missionaries made greater efforts in meeting new people; he points out that the average companionship spends only four or five hours per week attempting to meet new people.[13]

How terrible it is that a handful of Christians post a handful of threads per week on FreeRepublic to counter the proselytizing efforts of the missionaries and public relations campaign of the mormon church. Don't you just feel SO sorry that the poor, persecuted mormons aren't able to have their message heard?

You know...you just can't accuse others of that...and then throw the burden of proof on the other person.

So...as a service to the "Dear Reader's" give some examples...of these "vicious attacks".....

I would be interested....and so would PD's "Dear Reader's".....Thanks!!

At what point in time can we all expect some replies?

Because it seems like a pandemic around this thread of no replies......
