President Obama: 'Fear and frustration' drive voters

WEST NEWTON, Mass. - President Barack Obama said Americans' "fear and frustration" is to blame for an intense midterm election cycle that threatens to derail the Democratic agenda.

"Part of the reason that our politics seems so tough right now and facts and science and argument does not seem to be winning the day all the time is because we're hardwired not to always think clearly when we're scared,” Obama said Saturday evening in remarks at a small Democratic fundraiser Saturday evening. “And the country's scared.” Obama told the several dozen donors that he was offering them his “view from the Oval Office.” He faulted the economic downturn for Americans’ inability to “think clearly” and said the burden is on Democrats “to break through the fear and the frustration people are feeling.”

“You can respond in a couple of ways to a trauma like this,” Obama said, referring to the economy. “One is to pull back, retrench and respond to your fears by pushing away challenges, looking backwards. Another is to say we can meet these challenges and we are going to move forward. And that’s what this election is about.”

Falling back on their old standby: the voters are having a temper tantrum.

Zero still determined to drag us into Brave, New World. Thanks but no thanks. We’re the party of hell no. Hell no to Brave, New World. Hell no to our loss of liberty. Hell no to the monster of the too-powerful state.

Evan Bayh is standing by. He was chosen to cover the Dems’ right flank in case of impeachment or catastrophic failure on Zero’s part. He’ll pretend to be the hallowed moderate who will save the Dems’ hide in 2012,

“Fear and frustration”

Wasn’t hope and change going after the fear and frustration of the entitlement class during his election. The entitlement voters weren’t getting enough—free food, housing, social services, etc.

Democrats must be scared all the time, because they can never think clearly. Heck that’s the reason Obama is in office, the Fear of Bush.

"Fear and frustration"? Let me explain:

1) Fear because your economic policies could drive not on the USA, but the ENTIRE world into a real economic depression that could result in a perfect of the 1930's with increasing political extremism--and we all know how the 1930's ended: a world war.

2) Frustration because despite the sentiment of the American people you passed that exorbitantly expensive health care reform that will destroy some of the best hospitals in the world.

My guess is that it’s Axisrod. He is the first on the start the attack on the Chambe which turns out to be a flat out LIE.

Axisrod, apparently is a believer in the Big Lie Theory of Goebells.

Probably a more appropriate word is DISCUST.

Egad. The Kenyan Clown's drivel is following right in the Carter path with his ignominious "Malaise" harangue:

The threat is nearly invisible in ordinary ways. It is a crisis of confidence. It is a crisis that strikes at the very heart and soul and spirit of our national will. We can see this crisis in the growing doubt about the meaning of our own lives and in the loss of a unity of purpose for our Nation.

The erosion of our confidence in the future is threatening to destroy the social and the political fabric of America.

Even Carter wasn't as openly contemptuous as Obama; the Kenyan usurper is baldly blaming the electorate's lack of cognitive abilities, whereas Carter merely labeled us spineless and spiritually adrift.

I hope and pray that no American is ever foolish enough to vote for a Carter, a McGovern, or an Obama.

The Kenyan Clown despises this country, and has been openly showing contempt for the populace since his initial refusal to demonstrate his simple eligibility to even serve in office.

He sounds like an undergrad moron, fresh out of some urban community college poli-sci 101 class.

The only thing shovel ready is Obama's mouth, which just can't stop digging.

Yeah, our “fear” is the “fear” he is wrecking the country brick by brick. And our “frustration” is that he was elected and we can’t get rid of him.

This man is so transparently stupid and manipulative and out of his depth that it is shocking.
