Back somewhere in the 30s or 40s, there used to be ‘dime a dance’ halls where guys went to dance with ladies.

Lets use a date of 1940 and someone give us the inflation corrected price from a ‘dime a dance.’

Maybe these bars could switch to dancing with customers.

A dime then was silver. That same amount of silver is worth more than a buck and a half today (and in some places I have heard of, you can get a stripper to shake her bare tushie at you for just a buck) so they must have been affectionate dances!
