Just because Baca is trying to get ICE to cover some of his jail costs does not mean he is enforcing Federal Immigration law, particularly because Los Angeles is a "sanctuary city."
Did you read the item? Baca isn't asking for funds, he is referring thousands illegal aliens for deportation. He has even done more ICE referrals than Sheriff Arpaio.
