Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by stupidity Like claiming that the Los Angles County Sheriff sets the policies of the city of Los Angeles Police Department? Or pretending that the Los Angles County Sheriff has not referred 11,000 illegal aliens for deportation to ICE? Or asserting that the Sheriff can't refer dopers to the DEA because the "common law dating back to the Magna Carta" someone mysteriously prevented it?
I suppose all three of those could be attributable to stupidity.
