NEW YORK (CBS) TLC has offered a sneak peek of Sarah Palin's new reality show, "Sarah Palin's Alaska."

PICTURES: Sarah Palin

In the 30- second promo, the former Alaska governor shows off her rugged side and her penchant for the beautiful outdoors.

"We are somewhere that people dream about," she says as she treks through a glaciated valley.

"I'd rather be doing this than in some stuffy old political office," Palin is heard saying while off-roading on an ATV. "I'd rather be out here being free!"

The eight-part miniseries, which debuts Nov. 14, will provide a deeper look at Palin as the cameras will follow the onetime GOP vice presidential candidate around her home turf in Alaska.

In one of the upcoming episodes, she will be joined with reality TV mom Kate Gosselin and her eight children for a camping trip.

I think this looks like it will be a GREAT show, and that it will turn out to be a hit not only with conservatives, but liberals who tune in to see 'how stupid' Sarah supposedly is, only to be pleasantly surprised by the TRUTH (not the MSM's warped version of it). And the splendor of our largest state makes me wonder, how can people NOT believe in God??? It looks absolutely gorgeous from those quick flashes during the promo, the nature is just awe-inspiring! :*)

I might give it a watch. If people don’t like this kind of show, they can watch Obama’s America (COPS and America’s Dumbest Criminals).

I have lived in Alaska for 18 years, cannot possibly ever go anywhere else.

Don’t come here unless you have resources, the demands are high upon a newcomer if you are just visiting, living here full time though is pretty cheap once you get past renting.

And if anyone thinks for a second Alaskans have some contempt of those living “outside” the state its very much true, we know what Alaska takes from a person and what it gives in return, many people do not have the right stuff, many come here and later escape with nothing.

We are not supermen nor elitists, we just live a life that makes demands upon our soul and spirit, for the good obviously. If a person has the space in the hearts for living here it will be filled with wonders.

It looks to me to be just another goofy reality show, with some great scenery thrown in for aesthetic purposes.

I have been to Alaska three times and there seems to be many different “Alaskas.” To me, Anchorage seemed like a relatively easy place to live as did Homer. However, bush villages such as Aniak or King Salmon seemed brutal. Of course, there are several towns in between such as Talkeetna and Cooper Landing.

I live in Wasilla, probably the most populated part of Alaska outside of Anchorage.

We look at Anchorage like its completely different from the rest of Alaska. Some even say those that live there are “Alaskans Lite”.

Though I would say Wasilla isn’t a holy roller town it does have a LOT of small churches.

You've watched a 30 second trailer and have come to the conclusion that an unseen eight part series is "another goofy reality show".

Did you go to school with the pissant?

Nah, but I love Pissant’s posts.

In regard to the show, isn't the whole purpose of a trailer an attempt to entice viewers to watch the show by showing selected portions of the best parts? Well, if that is the best they have I was unimpressed, except by the wonderful scenery which I can view elsewhere.

Y’all think Obama could ride a snowmobile across a glacier?
Work on a fishing boat bringing in the catch of the day?
Snowboard across a snowy tundra?

Yeah, right. Has he EVER even visited Alaska??
Wonder if he’ll show up to try to help Lisa get re-elected, LOL.
If I were a dem that was running, I’d tell him to steer clear of my campaign, he’s the kiss of death, he is! LOL.
