Steve Johnson is a volunteer for republican candidate Tom Brinkman working the sidewalk in front of the Hamilton County Board of Elections.
He says on Oct. 13 three church vans pulled up and disgorged several students from Hughes High School, along with a Democrat campaign worker.
"The organizer clearly was biased by her Democrat stickers on her vest...and they had Democrat sample ballots with them...walking in to vote."
"It was clearly biased who they were to vote for."
Afterwards, Johnson contends, rather than returning the students to school, the van driver told him the students would be treated to free Graeter's ice cream.
He told Brinkman about the incident.
He, along with the Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes, or COAST, filed a temporary restraining order, a permanent injunction and a lawsuit against Cincinnati Public Schools.
COAST said these actions violate a 2002 agreement with CPS to remain politically neutral.
They also say in the complaint that the ice cream incident was bribery.
After the lawsuit was filed, CPS lawyer Mark Stepaniak issued a statement saying:
"The lawsuit was filed less than seven hours ago and we are still investigating the allegations. CPS has long encouraged its students as part of its Government Course curricula to register to vote and to vote. CPS does not endorse candidates or political parties. Some years when the funds can be found CPS has arranged the transportation of students to the Board of Elections for early voting by finding sponsors for bus tokens for student transportation. This year, our bus token sponsor could not find any money in the budget. A group volunteered church vans to drive some students and we accepted the offer. No CPS personnel engaged in the promotion of candidates or any political party."

Lawsuit filed over alleged CPS student voting practices

The Cincinnati Public School District is investigating claims some of its students were bused to the Board of Elections to vote during school hours, and then influenced by a political party.
The Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending and Taxes, or Coast, has filed suit against Cincinnati Public Schools, and is seeking a temporary restraining order to prevent the District from taking any other students to vote.
Coast attorney Chris Finney says there is a history. Eight years ago his organization settled with CPS over illegal campaign activity, and Finney says at that time the district promised not to conduct partisan activity.
This year we sort of caught them red-handed when they brought three van loads of Hughes High School students during school hours to vote, using school personnel, so either a teacher or a principal went with them. They actually gave them Democrat sample ballots. The volunteers who were with them were wearing Steve Driehaus stickers, and they were instructing them how to vote.
Finney says they got ice cream afterwards.
An attorney representing Cincinnati Public Schools, Ryan Martin, says the District is still gathering information about what happened. He says CPS does not endorse any political party. Sometimes he says it found sponsors to get students to the polls, and this year a group volunteered church vans.

Graeters does have good ice cream. With their homemade whipped cream on top, it’s hard to blame those students.
Are these students 18? or does anyone care anymore?
...crickets...
It’s according to how many times they have failed!
I guess some of them could actually be in their twenties. It seems the ‘teachers’ are more interested in who they vote for than if they can read/write, etc.
They plan to bring four more high schools (to vote) this week, Christopher Finney, COAST attorney, said Monday after filing the suit.

This is happening across the nation, old folks homes and everything else.

After the Clinton impeachment, Democrats flew in Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Maxine Waters, etc. to a town in Arkansas called Pine Bluff (majority blacks) to ‘get out the vote’ to get rid of Jay Dickey (R) because he voted to impeach Clinton.
The black churches bused people to the polls on SUNDAY after church to vote! No one even knew the polls were open (they weren't supposed to be)!
NOTHING ever happened to anyone over that! But, they got the results they wanted, Jay Dickey (R) lost to Mike Ross (D).
The next Monday I walked over to the courthouse (in another county) and signed up to be a poll watcher. Since that day I have been a thorn in the sides of many. But I'll be damned if they are going to steal another election if I have anything to do with it.
Its only a matter of time until they have mobile voting booths in the inner cities on election day.

and they will come with a D button only.
probably
Libs have to keep everyone poor enough that a free ice cream can buy the vote.
They are doing a good job of keeping people poor, fersure
Black Raspberry Chip ping.....Yum-O
In Wiscinsin they offered the homeless a pack of smokes and a sandwich for a Democrat vote, I think it was back around the 2000 presidential election.
Yep. That's why it is necessary to throw out all RINOs.
