Sweet. Was this during the Christmas day bombings in 1972? What was the reason for so many carriers off of Vietnam?
I have pictures I took of the battleships New Jersey and Missouri together. That was quite a site...
I was in the Gulf of Tonkin on a tin can from 04/72 thru 10/72. We plane guarded for several of the carriers over there when we weren’t providing NGFS.
