Whitman, Brown try to link each other to Schwarzenegger

Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown have found a new way to win voters' hearts: compare the other to Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the embattled incumbent whose popularity is in the tank.

Brown, the Democratic nominee for governor, started airing a TV ad Tuesday sampling video clips of Schwarzenegger and Whitman, years apart, making sometimes-verbatim appeals about their qualifications and ideas. It suggests the Republican governor failed in office and Whitman would too.

Whitman's campaign returned fire within hours, saying Brown, on certain environmental and tax policies, is the candidate more like Schwarzenegger.

It was a lot of dumping for one day on the lame duck governor. And it all could make for awkward conversation next week, when the three of them are scheduled to appear together on a stage in Long Beach for a discussion about governing.

Still, if the use of Schwarzenegger as a punching bag was in any way surprising, it is only that it took so long. The governor's approval rating is a near record-low 23 percent, about matching Gov. Gray Davis' mark in 2003, . . .

Funny, Ahnold hasn’t endorsed a candidate for CA governor, but he endorsed Christ for Florida.

If California elects Brown, companies will leave the state in droves....more than already are. Brown will raise taxes in the state beyond what people can pay. Unions have him in their back pockets and crime will rise automatically.

Pretty pathetic record when both the democrat and republican abandon you. The GOP would have been better if Arnold had lost.

I wish Meg would just focus on the here and now I don't care what if Brown focuses on Arnold. She should just advise California that Brown is and was against Prop 13 and is going to tax us into oblivion to make up for the lie that California's problems is because of the tax relief. When that Proposition passed years ago it was huge and people like it and need it and I believe this is an issue they can grasp well at least older and wiser voters and or property owners. Property tax still goes up 2 % every year that's plenty IMO

Two thoughts:

Hopefully that would inform the voters elsewhere what happens when your state turns leftist and into Mexifornia.

Dread and fear that those leaving the state will blindly continue voting for the same idiot ideology that bankrupted their prior state and that they will continue the process in other states.

Meg Whitman and Jerry Brown to California:

‘Arnold Schwarzenegger is a cancer’.

Arnold Schwarzenegger to the people of California:

‘I’m not a tumor’

So to understand this correctly, for some bizarre reason, Meg Whitman is trying to connect Jerry Brown to the governor instead of saying ‘Look at the idiot legislature, and how they're just itching to get a rubber stamp like Brown to raise your taxes, bring in extreme legislation. If you elect Brown, your legislature will continue to spend millions to debate if we need an apostrophe in things like the California State Contractors’ Board. If they can waste money on stupid things like that, just think what they can do with a rubber stamp from Brown.’

I wouldn't be surprised if he endorses Jerry Brown.
He did a lot to help Brown win the election for AG.
