USA Today Spin: Early voting gives edge to Democrats

One thing I feel confident in predicting. *If* Republicans do well, including a decent house majority, they have 2 years to make draconian changes.

This is going to be a big problem for many people. Expectations are so high, but the ability to actually do much of anything may be incredibly low.

I will be satisfied, for now, if a Republican majority in the House simply puts an end to any more social welfare programs, all state/union bailouts, begins at least trying to defund ObamaCare and the EPA, etc.

With Obama still being the President, and a likely Dem majority in the Senate, the most we can really do is block the lefts agenda from advancing further. One of the biggest things we can accomplish is ending ALL state/union aid. By doing this, we force states to actually begin the tough process of cutting their public sector rolls, dealing with their pension issues and generally getting their budgets into better shape.

How are they lying?

According to the story, Democrats do appear to be casting more ballots in the early voting period than Republicans?

That is just where they are wrong.

Through the first three full days of early voting, ending Wednesday, Republicans were dominating Democrats in Sarasota County. That is sending a panic through local Democrats who fear that unless the trend is quickly reversed, they could be looking at wholesale defeats, including a loss for incumbent state Rep. Keith Fitzgerald, D-Sarasota.

Of the 8,600 votes cast early in Sarasota County, just 30 percent were by Democrats. Republicans comprised 53 percent of the voters. The remaining 17 percent were supporters of minor parties or held no party affiliation.

Statewide, Republicans are also leading Democrats in early voting. Of the 778,000 early voters so far, just 33 percent statewide have been Democrats compared with 53 percent Republicans.”
