That was my first thought - Betcha they didn't fly it under its own power from DC to LA.

Well, any USMC aircraft with POTUS on board is perforce “Marine One.” They probably just used a SoCal-based copter similar to the one used at the White House.

I think.....dunno for certain, but I think....that any plane the president occupies receives the designation AF1. Be it 747 or Cessna.

Wonder if "Marine 1" is the same type deal?
