An Internet-born movement to encourage solidarity with teen victims of gay bullying has spurred several celebrities, schools, and media to officially promote the pro-homosexual campaign by wearing purple this past Wednesday.

A young woman named Brittany McMillan, who spread the idea on her Tumblr account, and was championed by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), reportedly began the movement, which is intended to memorialize homosexual youths who have killed themselves.

Several media outlets endorsed the movement, including CNBC, the Today Show, E!, HGTV, Philadelphia Magazine, Ms. Magazine, The View, and numerous Spanish-language media. Even the New York Stock Exchange building was illuminated purple to celebrate the event.

But not everyone is pleased with the Spirit Day, which has been officially adopted in several U.S. schools, including high schools and elementary schools.

Savagesusie, if you write some of this stuff up in a vanity, I’ll ping it out.

People need to know this stuff.

I think I had a tagline for a while:

TAKE BACK THE RAINBOW

or something like that.

Rainbows neither belong to nor symbolize anal sodomy.

They are a great beauty of Nature created by God.

I know but I usually get caught up in posting comments and then I don’t get my other things done. I am actually not even supposed to be posting now.

I did like that article about political correctness. That is worth reading! I have been reading alot about those bast*rds in the Frankfurt school and they are the cause of everything that is wrong in this country....and I mean everything. All PC thinking.

Purple is the color of kings. The rainbow is a covenant from God. Nothing these fools do can change that.

I guess they don't care about the heterosexuals who are bulled.
I remember when homosexuals just wanted the government out of their bedrooms. Now, they're in the schools encouraging children to take up that life style. I wonder how many young people have AIDS today because they were sucked in by these homosexual groups. How many matured and realized they were heterosexual after it was too late? Will we see lawsuits against pro-homosexual groups, and the schools who allowed the homosexuals access to the child?

Okay, here’s an idea. When you have a little time for posting, open a document and start writing some. In a few days you’ll have an article! This information is unknown to most people.

Gives perspective and knowledge, and it is like being armed with truth. We need to be armed to fight this evil.

Just encouraging you!

When the rainbow thing came out my daughter was in school and she had some rainbow patches on her jeans. I had some that I kept from the 1970s and she loved them; me too. We love the rainbow and I would always pull off the road and we would watch when one appeared after a rain. Along with the song Judy Garland sang in Wizard of Oz which got me through a lot of times when I was a little kid but mostly for God's promise to Noah. So I cut out some white material like a cloud and sewed these under the rainbows and crewel stitched in small letters, “Take Back The Rainbow” and she loved them even more and it caught on with a lot of kids.

We had one of our morning news guys (who is gay) make a “special statement” a few mornings ago. He said that he was wearing purple to stand in solidarity with those who are or have been bullied in school. He was bullied “simply for being who [I] was.” Oh, and he wanted kids to know “It gets better.” (”It Gets Better” is a pro-homosexuality campaign to inform young people that even though things at school are tough right now, it will get better over time.) It was started by that sicko Dan Savage who wrote (or maybe still writes) a column called “Savage Love.” Disgusting column.

I know how terribly painful bullying is, how devastating it is for children. I think it’s important to make sure that people are treated badly in school have some help and some guidance.

What I don’t need is my weather guy throwing it in my face at 6am!

My daughter has epilepsy and we (and lots of our fellow epilepsy friends) are upset about the color purple being taken over because purple is the international color of epilepsy awareness. March 26 is purple day for epilepsy awareness.

It’s like pink is to cancer.

Now, purple will be associated with this “spirit” day.

Back to epilepsy not getting any awareness.

My daughter also made a point of wondering why they were just targetting gay bullying when lots of people are bullied. Why not just do a anti-bullying campaign.

You and your daughter asked, “Why not just do a anti-bullying campaign.”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I am very frustrated to read posts from so-called conservative Freepers who **insist** that this godless abomination is not seeping into their child's school.

When are conservatives finally going to wake up? Government schooling is an abomination that MUST be SHUT DOWN!!!!

Not only would shutting down the government schools put an end to this godless abomination in the schools, I can't think of a better way to finally bring full justice to those promoting it. These teachers, principals, administrators, and professors of indoctrination can stand in the unemployment line with the rest of us!

If we are to save this nation, we MUST MUST MUST get our nation's children into conservative private schools! Our children MUST MUST MUST be fully taught the Judeo Christian principles of their specific faith and our nation's founding principles.

...

“Homosexual individuals have been found to suffer a significantly increased risk of mental health issues, including drug abuse, depression, and suicide; a UK survey in 2008 found homosexuals twice as likely as the rest of the population to take their own lives. “

...

THAT is because “gay” people are MISERABLE people. Anything will set them off. They are EMOTIONALLY disturbed people that act out sexually.

I like that!

Here’s more:

“Homosexual individuals have been found to suffer a significantly increased risk of mental health issues, including drug abuse, depression, and suicide; a UK survey in 2008 found homosexuals twice as likely as the rest of the population to take their own lives.

While homosexualist leaders often attribute these symptoms exclusively to bullying and discrimination, pro-family experts, such as the group Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX), contend that homosexuality is itself a manifestation of a psychological disorder, and that engaging in the dangerous gay lifestyle presents a major threat to an individual’s physical and mental well-being.

PFOX executive director Regina Griggs says that school groups that encourage vulnerable teens to identify as gay or lesbian too early are doing them a great disservice by fostering a deep confusion about their own identity.”

Destruction of society is the goal of EVIL people.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Help and guidance? NO! NO! NO!

The child should be removed from this fundamentally abusive environment and returned to his family! If 200,000 years of our human ancestors could see how we treat children, they would be appalled!

If children are placed in prison-like settings ( which institutionalized schooling resembles) there **will** be bullying! We have always had in our institutional schools, (and always will), have the same types of social pathology seen in prisons!

Bullies serve an important roll in the control of prisoners. Just as in prisons, bullies serve their prison managers by intimidating the other prisoners. In schools they serve the **same** purpose. The goal of government schooling has **always** been to graduate serfs of the state!

If we treat children like prisoners we will produce dependent serf-like citizens who will vote for more and more socialism, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lyndon Johnson, Clinton, and now Obama!

By the way, when our Founding Fathers promoted the education of children, they probably had in mind the educations that they enjoyed....not this monstrosity that our children suffer in daily.

Government schools are child abuse, not only for the bullied, but for the children who see it happening every day all around them.

The “normal” people in authority pushing this stuff on kids will have a lot to answer for someday.
Some people mock “total depravity.” It’s one thing to get caught up in this sin because of personal temptation, but so incredibly evil to be a bystander and call this stuff good.

Blue jeans or khakis ... or, indeed anything else other than purple, is my plan. Unlike so many others here, I don’t even have anything especially against gays, except for the huge publicity that they constantly keep wanting to have, such as the big flap over DADT and now this (and also the “trainings” they want in schools).
