I agree with everyone here. This is INSANE. It goes to show how “equal rights” is a stalking horse for big government.
Trying to enforce equal rights for rentals, gender, sexual preference, race, color, housing, hiring, food stamps, and of course, health care, leads inevitably to socialism. Someone has to have the power to hand out all the goodies. And that authority would be Obama and his core constituency of low-income non-taxpayers.
When you don't have God to look to for morality and wisdom, what's left? Fallible humans. Name a Communist or a dictatorship country that allows for competition? They don't. These despots don't allow for God because they don't want the competition.
Despots of ANY leaning want the sheeple to look to THEM as the ultimate authority. It is the adversary of Christianity that wants you to look ANYWHER but to God.
It's bigger than you think ... . It's more than bigger government. It is GOVERNMENT in control of your moral values and entire way of life - which includes health care (whether you live or die). Why do you think death panels are part of Obama’s health care?
Spreading the wealth around applies to the sheeple - not the leaders. Can you name many that PAY THEIR TAXES in Obama’s administration? Of course not. Obama’s inner circle, doesn't have to. YOU DO! They want to control who has money and who doesn't. Who is ALLOWED to have money, will be agreeable to THEIR IDEOLOGY otherwise you will be poor and dependent on them.
Name an empire or a country that thrives under this. The Roman Empire? Cuba? Mexico? All these countries have components of the MAN DOMINATION that I speak of. The fall of the Roman Empire has glaring examples of the decline in morality and the utter corruption. The only reason America has prospered and been the envy of the world is because our roots are Judeo Christian. That should evoke shrieks of disgust!
It's true. Despite our flaws and we have them, we have acknowledged God. It is God that bestows blessings and has ultimate control. We have been kicking Him out of our lives and culture for some time now and since then, have been DECLINING. Now we have an utterly EVIL President driving in the last nails of our coffins. We are now fighting for the soul of our nation. We've been sleeping. We've been so eager to embrace others, that's we've lost our bearings as a Judeo Christian nation.
We didn't empathize the EVIL that occurs when you are not a Judeo Christian nation. Our children's history books have been scrubbed clean of the constant reference to God by our founders. Heck the Bible was totally thrown out of schools inthe 60's. Instead their books highlight Communists and dictators as wonderful people. They have been taught to be ASHAMED of their country, it's wealth (blessings) and God fearing conscience.
If you still don't believe me, let me ask you this. If you were God, and have some familiarity with Judeo Christin beliefs, and your remnant was rejecting you along with nonbelievers, would you continue to bless them? Wouldn't you allow someone like Obama to come along and let them have what they crave, EVIL? I would. To punish them and hope they WAKE UP! Making Saul king is a good parallel. God didn't want us to have kings ... but-he let them have Saul as their king ... .(I Samual and 2 Samual) He wanted the people to look to HIM and to prophets when needed. The point is, He will let us exercise free will.
As a layman, I read the Bible. I'm not perfect, so you don't need to point that out. I admit it, however my standards are higher than nonbelievers and I seek His wisdom for them. I don't always get things right but I know that He has it right, even if it doesn't sit well with me as my imperfections pop up. I don't always want to do what I should - such as love your enemies - LOVE TERRORISTS? That's a tough one ... Nick Berg ... sitting there waiting to be decapitated makes it tough to LOVE those that sawed his head off ... . I haven't gotten to the point to LOVE them. I wrestle with that. My point is though, the with easier issues, we fall down on the job.
Now our basic rights from a secular perspective are in jeopardy because we failed to stand up to evil along the way. I don't know if we can still turn this around. I pray we can but I am not sure because we appear ONLY to be bitching about money. It seems that money is our central issue and not God. As we continue to leave out God, hence our blessings will decline also.
In Revelation, we can read allot of symbolic language. It takes an understanding of the entire Bible to make sense of it. You can see that Russia and China have clear roles. But, where's the U.S.? You don't see a clearly defined role for the U.S.? My best guess is that the U.S. will either NOT EXIST, or be rolled under the E.U. as another impotent power of yesterday.
Already we can see the U.S. slipping as a world power. Obama is happy to give away our money, moral standards, cut back on technology and military might. We are currently using the OLDEST technology and military equipment in our history. This does not bode well in a world that is moving a head at a record pace. It is also stated in the Bible that "knowledge will increase". How true this is! We more than double our knowledge like no time ever before in the history of the world. It used to be that we doubled our knowledge every ten years. Now it is faster than that.
Obama is making sure we are dependent on our enemies for OIL. Try to fly planes and use other military equipment without fuel? Do you think that solar panels on sunny days will do the job? Sorry but a newly dressed up "Mother Earth" won't do it. We can worship creation more than the Creator, as we are doing and we will continue to decline.
Do you think our enemies will have a "time out" and let us buy our fuel so we can fight them? You know I am being facetious. I know you know better ... . As we drift away from God and embrace EVIL people, we are losing our morality, freedom, world influence and prosperity. I am personally amazed at all the different methods of attack going on and how foolish people are to get sucked in.
You’re right. Without the freedom of worship, vibrant churches and the dreaded social conservatives, there would be no independent power base in society. In a “rationalist” secular society, government slowly but surely takes over everything. The people, helpless victims of their own lusts and weak in spirit, can scarcely resist.
The atheist and agnoistic libertarians are classically conservative on economic issues but think God is unimportant. They fail to recognize that the God they disdain is the only true friend of liberty.
