Dunno about that. Where I am, I’m aware that the religiously-conservative “Latino” churches are not by and large conservative. What drives them? What are they most vocal about? US gringos trying to secure their borders and how horrible the US is to their Chicano “brothers.”

Here is a little note I wrote to a Latino brother in Christ who supports 0bama.

My brother, I love you in Christ.

But please consider the following.

• It is not the church's job to compel anybody to pay for anything, especially by compelling them through force of government. (2nd Cor 9:7)
• Dependency on government is the opposite of dependency on God.
• It is not for the government to do the job of the church.
• If the church is not doing its job helping and evangelizing the poor, then that is a disgrace.
• It is a sin for the church to support and endorse lawlessness.
• It is a sin for the church to promote covetousness and envy.
• Socialism and Communism is slavery to the government, not slavery to Christ.
• The current government endorses murdering children in their mothers wombs, or even as they are being born.
• The current government endorses the depravity of homosexuality. See Romans 1.
• The current government endorses organizations and cults that wish to destroy Israel and exterminate the Jews.

  Having a Christian conscience, I cannot endorse these things, regardless of the political party that advances them.
