Democrats Call Lisa Murkowski A Liar

Posted By Dan Riehl On October 23, 2010 @ 4:13 pm

All the while, Lisa Murkowski’s campaign has been engaged in a smear campaign against Joe Miller. Now, out of the blue, Democrats come out and call her an outright liar?

It was troubling when Murkowski broke her word to voters and refused to abide by the results of the Republican primary as promised. If these accusations are legitimate, all in all, it does not speak well of Lisa Murkowski’s character. And character does matter. She has invoked the name of the late Ted Stevens on her behalf. He can’t speak for himself. However, it appears some individuals Murkowski has claimed endorse her candidacy can – and they are flatly denying it.

Obviously, this is yet another in a series of literally thousands of smears the Dems have come out with this election cycle. It may indeed end up being very effective as far as splitting the GOP vote in favor of the Dem candidate.

I continue to be amazed, however, how very few Democrats are saying anything good about what has been done over the past 2 years. Literally NONE of them are acting like their so-called “great achievements” are anything to be proud of. It’s all smear, all the time.

Frankly, I hope it’s working, and by that I mean, I hope that large segments of the brain-dead Dems are gradually understanding that the Dems have little if anything to run on. Sigh. I know, I know.

THAT would be MY hope & change. Two more years of this...? It’s unimaginable.

Well, OK, just as long as Joe Miller doesn’t chime in and start complaining, “No, no, I’m the legit candidate, I’M tha liar you should be attacking!”

Don’t worry, the dems, along with Murkowski’s daddy’s man, are pulling out all the illegal stops to try and discredit Miller.

“How Can I Miss You if You Won’t Go Away?”
Far far away from me.
How can I grieve if you won't leave?
And how can I shed a tear if you're still here?

Absence makes the heart grow fonder, so they say
Let's see if that old saying still holds true today.
I'll sadly sigh as we kiss goodbye
I'll miss you more than words can say
So how can I miss you if you won't go away?

Excellent point, and one I hadn't thought of until now. But you are right: Where is the Democrat support for all the accomplishments of the Left since the current resident and his flying monkeys usurped Congress? You have a very good thinker on your shoulders!

Thanks, but that point has been made pretty strongly by Levin (my hero) and I have to credit him. But you have to kind of ponder the liberal mode of thinking....if you can call it that...

When Republicans point out that 0bama has blasted the deficit into the stratosphere, Dems always change the focus and claim that *Bush* was the one who brought us out of control budgets. Errr, OK, then, so it was bad when Bush did this? So now that the deficit is over 3x what Bush allegedly engineered it must be....GOOD! Yeah, that’s the ticket! So why aren’t they proud of it? (and we’ll just ignore the whole notion that it’s Congress that passes budgets, not the president, that would be too reality-based for the American Idol set)

Likewise with healthcare. When it was passed (never mind the whole episode which was flat out the single most disgusting piece of bully politics and overt bribery in US history) it was “Teddy’s lifetime dream” and “revolutionary” and “historic” and “we finally gave something great to the American people” and everything else and as far as I know NOT ONE OF THEM avers anything but the most tepid support ever heard from a pol.

Indeed, some Dems are running on platforms that claim they DIDN’T support healthcare.

Another example is TARP, although Bush has to accept some blame for that fiasco.

But the point remains, if these guys are such great leaders (and for the 19,000th time they are REPRESENTATIVES, not LEADERS) they why are they apparently running away from their records and have NOTHING, NOTHING to say other than relentlessly trashing the GOP?

That the RNC isn’t putting this “all smear, no credit for what’s been done” out in advertising really makes me wonder what their purpose is.
