Huckabee was always a conservative except for his support for illegal amnesty.
He’s pro-life, pro-gun, pro-God, pro-fiscal responsibility.
He blew it big with his decision to out himself on amnesty.
I think he’s changed, but the damage is done.

Huckabee ain’t so hot on law and order either.
Huckabee also favors expansive government.
I wouldn’t call him a conservative except socially. He’s not unlike GWB in many respects. Except he’s even more vocal about God and social issues and that is at the heart of what the establishment hates about him. If not for that, they’d be fine with the guy. But nothing they hate more then a very vocal Christian.
