Heh. Maybe 0bama can be the kind of uniter that Walter Mondale is.
But it takes skill to match Mondale's perfect record of losing a statewide race in every state (all except MN in 1984 and then losing the MN Senate Race in 2002).

Yeah...and Obama is doing the opposite of what Reagan did. Obama is the inverted Ronald Regan, the anti-Reagan.

If there’s anybody who’s expert in knocking Ronald Reagan down to his natural knees it’s Mighty Fritz Mondale!

Walter Mondale could not get elected in his own state, and he is giving pointers about Reagan?! Hilarious, and I think the guy is senile. Certainly delusional. Reagan would have identified exactly who obambi is/was and it would have been all over. McCain could have but wouldn’t or didn’t- too used to “reaching across the aisle”.

I saw the headline, and the publisher, and said to Mrs. RQSR “Do you think I’m going to waste my time reading this one? It’s Salon”, and then read her the headline.
She laughed, and said NO!
I didn’t, and will see y’all later down the front page.

Mondale thought he could be Reagan too. How did that work out?

It’s an interesting reading, actually, seeing how Mondale himself realized that he was done for after the 2nd debate with Reagan.

hey Obozo -— when you’re tired of advice from Jimmy Carter, try Walter Mondale!! He really knows how to lead the country toward a better future.
Hell, if Mondale’s advice doesn’t excite you enough toward more “hope and change” then just invite Michael Dukakis to the White House for a strategy session. I’m sure that will help to put the Demagogues over the top in 2010 and 2012.
