It’s an interesting phenomenon how drop dead gorgeous women seem not to have any political advantage, and possibly are disadvantaged; when their assets seem to boost them in most other endeavors. Maybe women are petty and tend to vote against anybody better looking than them.

Rant? That's your idea of a rant? It's an interesting question, don't you think? How can painfully hideous and grotesque women like Barbara Mikulski thrive politically, while sitting in the back of the bus almost everywhere else?
And the thing about stereotypes is they are almost always true. Any votes an attractive woman may get from shallow men due to looks, are maybe offset by non-beautiful women; who have universally been caddy, petty and small about women more attractive than themselves since junior high,no?
