This is must see.

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT:

JERRY BROWN ON CNN 1992:

"You run for office and, oh, the assumption is, I know what to do. You don't. I didn't have a plan for California.

You say you're going to lower taxes, you say you're going to put people to work, you're going to improve the schools, you're going to stop crime. Crime is up, schools are worse, taxes are higher, I mean be real."

I can’t leave soon enough. The day after I retire, I am moving to Virginia.

California? Just hand the deed to China and be done with it. They will have no problem managing that mess.

Pretty much how Britain gained Hong Kong at one time. Too bad no one is taught history and knows this lesson. We will lose states to pay our reparations. It'll happen one way or another. Either in payment for debt or when we no longer have the power to dictate how the world runs and that power belongs to China. The path we are on...no American is mentally prepared for it. Except maybe those expats who are very at home on the Pacific Rim.

Pretty much how Britain gained Hong Kong at one time.

And how we gained the Louisiana Purchase, the Gadston Purchase and, of course, Alaska from the bankrupt Russians. When you are broke... you need to sell assets to settle your debts...

Or when you lose wars or when the world hegemon decides you have committed crimes against humanity or whatever term is in vogue at that time. I mention Hong Kong because that loss is very much alive in the Chinese psyche. The Century of Humiliation — they actually teach and practice nationalism on steroids. And remember, they branded the fortune cookie, “Revenge is dish best served cold”.
