WMDs: Iraq War documents released by WikiLeaks show that U.S. forces frequently encountered weapons of mass destruction facilities and specialists. A former president is owed an apology.

Anyone who understands the importance of secrecy in waging the global war on terror must condemn the release of classified U.S. documents by the rogue group WikiLeaks.

I recall many stories about loads of WMDs and components being found. The MSM simply refused to report it.

The way the mustard gas shells will be explained is that they were overlooked parts of Iraq's vast arsenal that was routinely used against Iran in that war. It will work that way unless the documents reveal more recent manufacture ot indications that these were specifically hidden and not simply overlooked.

If any of the documents reveal a discovery of EMPTA or VX nerve gas THAT could be explosive! Clinton bombed Sudan over the reported presence of EMPTA at a Pharmaceutical Plant there.

You are undoubtedly right. Following that logic; if I own weapons that are prohibited by law, but they have been in my possession for years, then they are no threat to anyone and there should be no cause to confiscate them and arrest me.

I’ll just claim that I have owned this suitcase nuke for thirty years. When asked to verify it I’ll tell them the documentation is in a vault in Hawaii and I got a court order to seal it. /s

This, of course, raises again the question of why the Bush Administration refused to defend itself. If anything destroyed GW in the eyes of the public it was the WMD issue that got pounded and pounded and pounded.

2 months ago, Rove admitted they should have defended themselves more.

It wasn’t just with the WMDs, though. GW wouldn’t defend himself on hardly anything at all in the political world. I never really got it. Gentlemanly standards, rope-a-dope...whatever. As much as anything else, it is responsible for Obama being in the WH right now.

With the WMDs we can claim, I suppose, that it was wise to give the impression there were no WMDs there to prevent anyone buying them. But that is contradicted by this article that says we (the US) arranged undercover to buy some mustard gas from someone in 2004.

Since the issue with WMDs was always small quantities in the hands of suicidal terrorists unleashed on western population gatherings, any WMD found was extremely significant.

America was terribly manipulated. I’m sick of it.

This is the really important issue. The imbecile Bush administration simply let the liars run wild so that i time, with no correction, the general public came to believe the lie. This was one of the biggest failures of Bush and the fools in his administration.
