Why did the President and Congress insist on reinventing the wheel when it came to health care coverage? Weren't there prototypes in Europe and elsewhere developed and used for more than 50 years with proven track records that could have been used as models? Did the President and Congress have to terrify people who had insurance coverage in order to provide coverage for the additional 32 million Americans covered under the new law? Couldn't those without insurance have been attached in some way to the Medicaid rolls? Why did the President and Congress sell out to the prescription drug companies and strip Medicare of the right to negotiate volume discount purchases that could have saved U.S. taxpayers more than a trillion dollars over ten years? What rankles most for many, including me, is why have there been so few criminal prosecutions of those who are responsible for having brought the U.S. economy to its knees, destroyed the nation's prosperity and caused millions of Americans to lose their homes, their jobs and a substantial portion of their retirement savings? Why when looking at Obama's cabinet and advisers, do we see the faces of those who many hold responsible for the economic debacle?

It's all about control: they control your access to health care, they control you.
It CAN make a difference if the gopers don’t go all “my good friend and colleague” on us.
They can’t be afraid to, or too “gentlemanly” to,
EMBARASS the president and the democRats.
Simply find the nastiest, most freedom encroaching parts of the health care law, pass easy to understand individual repeals of those parts, and make the democRats and 0bama own them.
Over the years, by demonizing insurance companies and putting up the sob stories of people being denied coverage or going broke,
they have convinced a lot of people that our system was broken. I personally know someone who genuinely believes that the system was one of the worst in the world, and it is now going to be MUCH better.
No amount of questioning of the individual parts of the new policy will sway this person.

In the House, yes, but not in the Senate. Too many toss ups moving back in the direction of the Dems. I think we'll do well but will be a little disappointed with the Senate results.
I'm ready to predict that we take the Senate (and I haven't said that on FR until now). Although that's not a certainty, it's more likely than not that we get your tsunami. FR members can help a lot by voting, getting our friends to vote, and getting other patriotic neighbors to the polls, especially in the close races below.
We will pick up: Arkansas, Indiana, and North Dakota.
We are very likely to pick up: Illinois, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Wisconsin, barring massive Dem vote fraud.
We lead, barely, in: Colorado and Nevada. It's a contest between turnout and Dem vote fraud.
We trail, barely, in: California and Washington. Again, it's a contest between turnout and Dem vote fraud.
The Dems lead in: Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maryland, New York (both), Oregon, Vermont, although there are no reliable recent polls in the public domain for several of those races.
The four West Coast races; California, Colorado, Nevada and Washington; are close enough that turnout will decide them, and the tsunami on the East Coast favors the patriotic candidates, which should give us a boost in the West. I expect us to take at least two of them. As for the races where the Dems lead in public polls, I'm not willing to write them all off. It comes down to turnout, get out the vote, and poll watching. I've given the maximum legal amount in this election, including significant amounts to several of those Dem-leaning races. We'll see if we get a surprise pickup, particularly the NY special election, DE, or Oregon.
It has never been about Americans. Rats do nothing except serve themselves to more and more power and the health care deform is nothing short of freebies to encourage illegal immigration, combined with efforts to give legal residents the right to vote, and subsequent provision of amnesty -- instant creation of millions of new voters more inclined to vote Rat.
Sometimes I wonder how people who write this kind of stuff get to be as old as they are without getting hit by a train.

Just trying to think through the Demo strategy:
I think the Democrats knew all along that they were going to lose the house, but they are focusing on keeping the Senate (judge appointments, you know...). I also think they are putting out the story that they are going to lose terribly, but in actuality they know they will keep the senate, so that the day after the election, they can claim a victory against the tea party and say that there is no overwhelming evidence of mandate changes. The next day, the press will glorify that the Democrats/Obama survived the onslaught, and that it is the green light to continue their agenda. Palins high profile candidates will lose: Angle, O’Donnell and Miller (surprise loss). This will be announced as a huge defeat to Sarah, trying to derail her 2012 chances. With a dead congress for the next 2 years, you will see daily articles about how the congress is unwilling to work with Obama and Senate...This allows Obama/Demos to recover, with 2012 as a means to re-obtain their house majority.

I agree 100%. Every attempt to work with the dims ends in failure for the conservative cause. That ship has sailed.
The Tea Party has a lot to do with it I'm sure. I've seen pieces of different debates this campaign season where the Republicans came out swinging hard. I enjoyed seeing it, but you're right, it can't just stop there. That HAS to continue AFTER the election.
And who is it up to to make it continue after the election?
