Isn't Coons having enough trouble? His poll numbers are sinking and he has Obama and Biden coming in weekly to try to prop him up? Yet he still buys into the meme from the polls that Palin is sooo unpopular that an appearance with her will be the kiss of death for O'Donnell.

Poor little arrogant liberal doesn't realize that this will be a turnout election in which the voters who turn out will determine the winner.

Speaking of trunout, I am noticing on Facebook a sharp spike in O'Donnnell's facebook fan numbers vis a vis Coons. Up until the last week or so, she has been gaining more new fans than Coons at a rate of 2.5-1. (She currently has 26,858 to 9819 for Coons). In the last five days days, as the election approaches, her trajectory has increased sharply. She has gained 334 fans to only 75 for Coons, a factor of 4.5-1. This indicates the interest in her campaign, and the intensity (which translates directly into turnout) is high and getting even higher, while Coons is flagging more than ever.

Yet Coons wants to invite the biggest draw in the world into Delaware to campaign for his opponent. What do you say, folks? Should Sarah Palin accommodate this little skunk? That should pretty well finish him off. In the words of the immortal ballad of the 1970s, he'll be a dead skunk in the middle of the road.....stinkin to high heaven. LOL

If O’Donnell doesn’t get elected she’d make a great Secretary of State in a Palin Administration.

I’d like to see 0 glued to the Pet for about the next 7 days. Tough to make this guy look any worse, but that should do it.

Be careful what ya wish for little bearded Marxist!

Here is the email in it's orginal form:

New Poll Has Christine O'Donnell Within 6%

Stunning news to report today, fellow patriots.  A brand new poll has Christine O'Donnell surging to within 6% of her Democrat challenger, Chris Coons.

This late-in-the-campaign surge replicates her surge in the polls in the GOP primary, when everyone had written her off and said she could never win.

She proved the so-called "experts" wrong before and she seems poised to do so again!

With just 10 days left until Election Day, we would love nothing more than to defeat Barack Obama's and Harry Reid's candidate, Chris Coons, and give the media heartburn by electing Christine O'Donnell to the U.S. Senate.

But now we've got to give it everything we've got because it seems the national Republican Party has abandoned her and is refusing to put money into her campaign.  But we here at the Tea Party Express aren't abandoning Christine O'Donnell, and we're committed to helping her win, just as we did in the primary.

Our goal is to raise $150,000 for Christine's campaign in the next 72 hours.  Please, let's not just reach that goal, let us surpass it!

Please make a donation to our campaign for Christine O'Donnell - HERE.

If you can afford a more generous contribution of $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 - it will go a long way to ensuring we reach our goal.

We're hoping that at least 600 conservatives and tea party activists will contribute $100 or more in the next 72 hours.  Please forward this email to everyone you can!

Notice that reputable pollsters Rasmussen, Survey USA etc have not done any polling in Delaware apparently over the last 10 days. With COD being such a “celebrity” and in the crosshairs of the MSM you would think they would want to beat COD over the head that she is behind Coons by double-digits, wouldn’t you think?

Instead TCJ has polled 3 times in the last 10 days and the TPX once and all polls showed COD in single digits. Could all 4 polls be off? I don’t think so.

How about a national TV debate the night before election between President Obama and Governor Palin, over the future of this country, aired by all three networks, radio networks, and all cable outlets, live?

It’s interesting, the last 5 days, as the last 5 days haven’t really been big National news days for Christine. I think that 5 days ago, people weren’t talking about the establishment clause quite as much as the days before that.

So, this is definitely good stuff, an assessment of what is likely happening on the ground in Delaware.

>>> the O’Donnell camp recently sent a message to supporters claiming that gap between the two was shrinking.

They were either dishonest or delusional. Which actually has been a pretty consistent pattern.

The October polls so far:

2010 Delaware Senate General Election:
Christine O’Donnell (R) vs Chris Coons (D)

Pollster Dates N/Pop O’Donnell Coons Other Undecided Margin

Rasmussen 10/14/10 500 LV 40 51 5 4 +11D

SurveyUSA/U of Delaware 10/11-12/10 703 LV 33 54 5 9 +21D

CNN/Time 10/8-12/10 834 LV 38 57 4 1 +19D

Monmouth/Gannett 10/8-11/10 790 LV 38 57 - 5 +19D

Magellan (R) 10/10/10 1145 LV 36 54 3 7 +18D

FOX 10/9/10 1000 LV 38 54 3 5 +16D

September polls

Fairleigh Dickinson 9/27-10/3/10 801 LV 36 53 - 8 +17D
University of Delaware 9/16-30/10 729 RV 30 49 2 20 +19D
Rasmussen 9/26/10 500 LV 40 49 5 5 +9D
CNN/Time 9/17-21/10 703 LV 39 55 4 2 +16D
FOX 9/18/10 1000 LV 39 54 2 5 +15D
Rasmussen 9/15/10 500 LV 42 53 1 4 +11D
PPP (D) 9/11-12/10 958 LV 34 50 - 16 +16D
Rasmussen 9/2/10 500 LV 36 47 8 9 +11D

The supposed “new” poll favorable to O’Donnell touted several days ago has never materialized. Otherwise the only way the above available polls are shown to be tightening is to compare DIFFERENT polls, such as Rasmussen at D+11 vs SurveyUSA at D+21.

Even Rasmussen when compared to itself shows O’Donnell losing ground since September.

As for Sarah, there are states where she sells. There are states she doesn’t. Smug yuppie Delaware is likely the latter. Coon probably would actually consider it Christmas in November if she shows up. Not that he needs it.

You know they thought the same in CA. Meg believed the MSM spin and distanced herself from Palin her poll numbers DROPPED. Carly stood by Palin and she is from internal polls only 1 pt down at the moment.

If the RINOs where right then the reverse should be true.

Teaxas for palin website is reporting Palin is coming to DE this weekend to campaign for COD. So Coons will eat his words.

It's really a shame that many of the original 13 colonies that hated high taxes and loved freedom from government will now vote just the opposite!
