The Left’s voter fraud whitewash

My column today builds on Monday’s voter fraud round-up and spotlights left-wing efforts to demonize citizen election watchdogs.

New developments since I filed the piece yesterday: Dingy Harry turns to election bribery. Guess who’s operating Las Vegas voting booths? Rhymes with S-E-I-U. Chicagoans are plagued by a botched vote-by-mail system. In Minnesota, charges are still rolling in from 2008 voter fraud cases. And, as I reported last night, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals just undermined Arizona’s citizenship proof rules for voting — sabotaging efforts to ensure that only legal U.S. citizens vote in U.S. elections.

The NYTimes and NPR response? Move along, nothing to see here…

Must-read and share: J. Christian Adams compiles a voter fraud watch primer. Like I said the other day (to great consternation from the Left): We are all voter fraud police now.

Denial isn’t just a river in Egypt. It’s the Democrats’ coping mechanism for midterm election voter fraud. Faced with multiple reports of early voting irregularities and election shenanigans across the country, left-wing groups are playing dumb, deaf and blind. Voter fraud? What voter fraud?

I watched the video about the Chicago Democrat Party screw up. Apparently the 'machine' took it upon themselves to request a ballot for a lot of Dems, but they did it at the last minute.

The pre-filled out forms to request a ballot, (not actual ballots), are 1)mailed out by the Dem machine to potential (dem) voters, then 2)received and filled out by the potential Dem voter, then 3)mailed back to to the Chi Dem machine (NOT directly to the Registrar of Voters), who 4)records the data for their records, then 5)mails it on to the registrar.

Next 6)the registrar has to validate the ballot request, and 7)send out the actual ballots to the voters.

Note that they still have to vote the ballots and mail them back (8 & 9) before the deadline.

In addition to the usual data errors, the ballot requests will arrive far too late for the registrar to mail out a ballot to the voter so that they will get it in time to mail it back before the deadline. If anyone is being disenfranchised, it is Dem voters.

Any normal person who registered themselves and requested ballots for themselves early enough will get the ballots mailed out in time to vote. Or, they could always vote in person.
