It matters because all arguments for “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” happen in the CONTEXT of a Creator giving those rights. Then you have to look at what did the Founders mean by Creator and then the only conclusion you can come to is that homosexuality is wrong and same-sex marriage is wrong.
So then why did the CREATOR create homosexuals?
