If someone came up to my car and tried to force something in my window, I would consider it an assault.
Not a dangerous one, but they still had no right to force something into my car.
She shoved a hard-edged sign through the window at the candidate sitting in his seat in the car.
If the signed touched him, that’s battery. The act of coming AT The car with the sign, regardless of whether she actually hits him with it, is assault.
I look forward to seeing you proving your grasp of reality when you rush Obama with a sign the next time he speaks, "tough guy".

Yes, this is the same woman. The video SHE Was showing was obviously cut to after all of her actions, to JUST show the response.
Kind of like you get a friend to film you hit someone, and then show the film of him hitting you back and claim you were assaulted.
This film shows that she was not an innocent bystander getting attacked, but was a potentially dangerous woman who jumped into the street and attacked the candidate with a hard-edged sign before being pulled back and subdued by supporters.
Supporters, I might add, who TRIED to get the local police to handle her, but who told them it was THEIR job, not the police.

You're correct. She had no right to do that. But in my life, people have walked on my property, and I walked up to them and asked them to leave. After some words back and forth, they've always left. Was what they did legal? Nope. Did I take a fit and call the cops? Nope.
I have on more than one occassion been attacked physically with fists and/or objects that were a lot more potentially harmful than cardboard. I somehow managed to get on with my life without acting like some of the folks here, with all caps and hysteria.
Some folks just need to make drama, I guess, at every opportunity.
Some people really need to get lives beyond the Internet.

Obviously this woman was paid rabble out to force a confrontation for political reasons.
She knew that by forcing the sign in the window etc, that the Paul campaign security would react. That was her job.
All I know is that in a court in a normal world, putting your hands on someone or forcing oneself into the car or home of a person will usually make you guilty.
This woman is a democrat, so all rules are out the door.

my point is that she could indeed have done harm with a sign slashed across the face (whether or not intended to harm), and could easily have intended/been capable of more harm than that if she’d had a weapon (or even her fingernails) - postmortems are easy

Yes, exactly what I saw. She was definitely on some kind of mission. She should have been stopped because she was STALKING him from the moment he arrived!
Megyn Kelly had the video on FOX earlier today. It was clearly her shoulder, not her neck or her head.
And yes, she was poking what appeared to be one of those hard edged signs at Paul’s head.
And she is also employed by moveon.org.
