I bet that the interview is spliced and diced to make Christine say things that she really did not say.
This doesn’t line up with the CNN story which said that COD herself originally threatened to sue. This story claims it was her campaign manager.
Or not. You should probably lay off the conspiracy theories...
She must be really close on the polls!
Stay focused Christine.
Cut the jugular, leave the capillaries.
So here’s this little gal, running to the House, supposedly crazy and can’t possibly win, and she is constantly in the news.
Meanwhile there’s that Alvin guy, right, running for the Senate as a Dem — and he’s crazy, possibly felon, inarticulate, all sorts of things.
How come he’s not constantly in the news?
Because Alvin is 40 points behind and can’t win. There’s no news there.
COD is interesting and at least has an outside shot at an upset. She’s also cute and articulate, which Alvin sure as heck is not.
Any reasonable person would not have any confidence that those polls are real.
Listen, just call them mystery polls, or questionable polls.
They’re the only polls out there.
All of the polls are talking to too many Dems and too many Reps. So, it doesn’t matter.
Stop trying to give credibility to the TCJ polls. Without a look at the crosstabs, the name of the pollster, anything at all giving them credibility, just call them mystery polls, or questionable polls.
Christine is a superstar. Alvin is not.
Focus on Christine was very unflattering, shot from the side or 3/4 front.
Now Coons camera shot was face on, so he looked the best he could (not much IMHO)
Wow, this is damaging.
The amount of denial in this thread depresses me.
I’m with COD. Why the hell is a RADIO station secretly taping video of a RADIO interview. They were in their right to sue if the station was playing games, which it is clear they were.
I agree. And I don't think her campaign manager apologized because they were wrong, but rather because he didn't want this to blow up and turn into anything big. The MSM will still likely try to make the most out of this as they can, though. I wouldn't expect anything less from them.
I just watched the interview. It is a 20 minute interview recorded straight through with no edits. The interviewer is quite fair and appears to be someone COD knows. He lets her make a lengthy opening statement, asks her a few questions about what her approoach would have been if she had faced the budget problems that Coons faced in New Castle county (she would have gone after more spending cuts, not tax increases), they took a couple of listener questions that were cupcakes, COD made a closing pitch, and then they sign off. At the close of the broadcast, the announcer tells the audience that they will be posting a video and podcast of the interview on their web site. Christine does not visibly react to that comment.
There is no reason that I can see for the unhappiness that apparently surfaced after the camera was off about the interview being available on the web page.
I would hope that this is just a big misunderstanding, not evidence of paranoia, and that if it is a misunderstanding that she would just say so and get this behind her.
She handled the interview itself just fine. That’s what makes this seem so weird.
Doug Sachtleben, O’Donnell’s campaign spokesman responded Wednesday.
“Prior to the WDEL interview, we asked the show’s host if the video camera would be in use,” Sachtleben said in an email. “The host never gave a straight answer and due to the constraints of live radio, the interview began without the campaign getting a straight answer or granting permission for the use of the camera. That’s what we talked about after the interview.”
Sounds like much ado about nothing. CNN needs to change their headline.
Media these days is generic term. Radio stations out video on their web sites. TV puts written versions on their web sites. I am listening to Fox news on my radio. Eveyone does everything.
What surprises me is that any candidate wouldn’t know that.

I just wish she -or her reps- wasn’t so quick to seemingly always threaten lawsuits or bring lawsuits. That said this story will be cycled out in a day.
O'Donnell being interviewed by WDEL contentious talk show host. She takes him to the mat for a pin. Three call ins are interesting in their tone. Could be a set up, but if it is it backfired. O'Donnell will win Tuesday.
