Bill Clinton's 'retribution tour' against Barack Obama
Daily Telegraph ^ | October 27, 2010 | Toby Harnden

Byron York wonders here whether Bill Clinton wants Democrats to win next Tuesday. That may be going too far but he is certainly onto something when he suggests that (the) Clinton(s) have a double agenda right now. As I reported a couple of weeks ago, Bill himself has stated that his principal motivation for going on the campaign trail was to thank those who had supported his wife against Obama.

After my column was published, the NYT did a big piece on Bill on the campaign trail and buried the stuff about Clinton not being close to Obama and in reality still campaigning for Hillary. But it was still in there:

Still, Mr. Clinton is not particularly close to Mr. Obama. He coordinates with Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr., but makes his own decisions about whom to help.He has focused on aiding Democrats who endorsed Mrs. Clinton against Mr. Obama, like Representative Mark Schauer here in Battle Creek. Some Democrats call it a “retribution tour”; aides said they think of it as a “thank you tour.”

Don't kid yourself--the Clintons are concerned with power first, last, and always--they do NOTHING if it doesn't benefit them personally.

I'm not going to put money on it, but were I a betting man (and I am from time to time), Hillary Clinton will not be SecState past March of next year.

I like how she’ll be abroad on Tuesday. Do you think she’ll be VP in March?

BTW, great tag.

There is a world of a difference between Obama and the Clintons.

Obama is a narcissistic punk with Chicago thugs supporting him.

The Clintons are hard-ass sociopaths.

If the opportunity arises, the Clintons will take control.

If Barry is forced out blacks will stay home in droves come 2012: Can you say “President Palin?” Sure.

Billy Jeff Clinton never did anything that did not, in some way, benefit him or his wife.

That will only hold true if it is the dems who force him out. If you have been following the 'White House Insider' threads, it smells to me like the Clintons are setting the stage to force obama out of office and have the Repubs do it. Makes Hillary in 2012 a shoo in.

(Of course the WHI stuff could be bunk, so keep your eyes peeled. Something is definitely afoot within the dem party.)

Exactly. It will be a kiss of death for the Democrats to primary Obambi.

Just the idea that Obama, being a “race” political benecificiary, will surely leave the WH, forcing out the Blacks to stay home in droves. IN SHORT... IT’S ONLY LOGICAL TO ASSUME THAT OBAMA’S SUCCESSOR WILL ALWAYS BE REPUBLICAN.

Thus, the hallucination in 2008 that the WH will forever cater a Democrat President was, is and will always be a lie.

There will be a sure shift in Power in the WH when Obama steps down from the Presidency.

Three (3) possibilities:

2012 - He can only be defeated by a True Conservative. Obama will eat out a RINO alive in debate.

2016 - 2-Termer Obama succeeded and decided to step down. The wails of the NAACP will be so loud and they will never have a courage once again to go to the precincts and vote.

2018 - Obama, with his proclivities to thuggeries will forcefully steal another 4 years. The dominion of race in America will forever be slaves of Obama. We will have a first Despotic President. and the rest is history.

COME TO THINK OF IT. 2012 IS THE MOST DANGEROUS YEAR IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

... but that’s me daydreaming of a vast big leftwing conspiracy.

THE NONSENSE SCENARIO ABOVE CAN BE COMPLETELY PREVENTED IF WE CAN STOP KARL ROVE’S BIG FOUL MOUTH.

Don't bet on it. I've spoken to family about the thought if Hillary taking over. They weren't real keen on the idea but they made it clear, any democrat, including Hillary, would be better than a Republican.

If the election next week is the GOP tidal wave some are predicting, the donkeys will blame Obama and the situation becomes clouded. (BTW Look at the definition for donkey in Webster’s dictionary and determine whether or not the Democrats have the appropriate mascot)

Why do you think Clinton wasted time campaigning for Kendrick Meek in FL when he has no chance? I wondered if he did it just out of personal loyalty, or if maybe he thought this was a safe thing to do since he won’t get blamed when Meek loses.

That makes for interesting speculation as to How Bubba And the Hildabeast will Concoct the Downfall of The Muslim, without Causing a Negative Reaction in the Black Community.
It also has to not cast one Whiff of participation from those two pigs or she is done.
Of course if she apeaks the Truth What has Obumbo done for the Black Community but increase Unemployment? He has Bailed out all of the so Called Dreaded Enemies of the Left, Banks, insurance companies etc.Should be interesting,of course exposing Jarrett the Slum Lord who turned on her own People could help, why not go back to the real first Black President Bubba

The Clintons have to walk a fine edge, which is what I see Bill doing. They cannot appear to be in full frontal assault on BO. So instead he does a “thank-you” tour, thanking candidates who supported Hillary, even if those candidates are toast. That way, he is a “supporter” and a good soldier.

After these current elections, he’ll let other influential democrats pressure BO to either resign or moderate or “rein it in”. As time goes on, Hillary will look more and more presidential to democrats. Bottom line: I think Bill wants her to run in 2012, but he wants others to beg her so she is “doing it for the good of the party”. She cannot look like she is personally responsible for the loss of the first Black President.

Right.

It was Clinton that got up and made the famous speech about everyone had the right to the 'American Dream' of owning a home and then put pressure on Federal lendors to approve loans for people who could ill afford the properties.

No, but I do see her making the biggest primary challenge to an incumbent president since Fat Ted challenged Jimmuh in 1980.

Obama isn’t the brightest bulb on the circuit but his judgment was never worse than when he decided to buy not one, but two pet rattlesnakes named Hill & Bill.
