Hiring someone to kill you? I think that’s surely a bit worse.

And personally I would also prefer a philandering spouse to one who recklessly spent me into bankruptcy. Others may possibly disagree.

The age of consent is 14 in Canada, 13 in Spain, 13 for men and 12 for women in the Bible, and 12 across the board in Chile. The puritanical consent laws we have in the USA make for lots of titillating headlines, but in my opinion have nothing at all to do with real crime prevention.

People here are so hilarious with their snap judgments one way or the other.

Most read a quick news story and are sure the woman is guilty. I know I never heard of this woman, her husband, or anyone else involved.

Then you decide the husband was totally innocent and is a poor thing. Maybe he knew about it, duh, and that is why the immediate statement about if it’s true, he’s so shocked.

I have no idea and neither do you. But people are ready to burn the woman at the stake and lionize her husband. Based on initial news reports.

I felt really terrible for the husband when I read that statement. He IS a public official...he had to put something out.

I would guess that he knew his wife was not perfect, but to blame him for what she (allegedly) did is beyond unfair.

I think my husband is a fine man and I would NEVER believe he did something like this....sounds like her husband is not 100% shocked. And, no I'm not naive...men cheat, I just know my husband would not molest a 14 year old.

I feel so badly for their children. UGHHHH!
