Defunding could not only destroy NPR as we know it, but also deal a significant blow to the entire public interest media sector.

Do these people have any idea how insignificant NPR is when it comes to reliable news sources? By a huge margin, the number of Americans who wouldn't even notice if it disappeared would dwarf the Birkenstock wearing few whose lives might be "culturally" impacted.

And while I really enjoy Car Talk, my life would be virtually the same without it.

Defund the CPB ASAP!

The idea of finding out what is going on from a government - funded propaganda operation is beneath contempt.
