“Why did he allow them to land in the US?????”
So he could appear presidential?!
That’s the story of this, though. The idiot knew about these threats last night, but he allowed the planes to land on US soil? What if one of them carried a suitcase nuke and blew up half of Newark?

I’m working hard mentally to grasp the timeline and events here. Something(s) just wrong.
Around 10-something last night Obama is told there’s problems with bombs/possible bombs on cargo planes headed for the US?
At some point ACTUAL IED’s are discovered on- or about to be on planes headed for the US?
No directive is given to UPS, FED-EX or others that they are to ground all planes with packages from Yemen?
None of this is announced til late morning when many are preoccupied with the economy/elections, resulting in wall-to-wall commercial free AlQ coverage.
Then- a passeger jet from the UAE is escorted by military jets fromCanada and the US- because there may be a package from Yemen in the cargo hold? Why, if there was concerfn, wasn’t the plance immediately landed in Maine or New HAmpshire? Were the pilots suspected of something? Wasthe package expected to blow mid-air? If so what difference would it have made to have a military escort? WHY was there a military escort for cargo?
I don’t know what- but somehing really smells.
