Yes, he voted “present” to his own campaign. Too bad we couldn’t dump him in the primary. JD just didn’t have the goods.

Both Rove and Mitt would be my guess. We don’t need a former Gov of Mass. It puts him over more to the Bawney Fwank side than the Sarah side.

JD did have the goods but didn’t have the money.
McCain didn’t have the goods but had the money.

He used what he had - money. He didn’t have truth or his word to stand on.

I still hope AZ votes him out. Give it to the ‘rat like he gave us the ‘rat barry.

I think they are far more worried about her bringing justice to the corrupt bastards that infest DC.

Exactly! Like she did in Alaska - she's beholden to no party when it comes to corruption.

Does the Romney smell remind you of this?

“Before beginning the drive, Mitt Romney put Seamus, the family’s hulking Irish setter, in a dog carrier and attached it to the station wagon’s roof rack. He’d built a windshield for the carrier, to make the ride more comfortable for the dog.

“Then Romney put his boys on notice: He would be making predetermined stops for gas, and that was it.

“The ride was largely what you’d expect with five brothers, ages 13 and under, packed into a wagon they called the ‘’white whale.’’

“As the oldest son, Tagg Romney commandeered the way-back of the wagon, keeping his eyes fixed out the rear window, where he glimpsed the first sign of trouble. ‘’Dad!’’ he yelled. ‘’Gross!’’ A brown liquid was dripping down the back window, payback from an Irish setter who’d been riding on the roof in the wind for hours.

“As the rest of the boys joined in the howls of disgust, Romney coolly pulled off the highway and into a service station. There, he borrowed a hose, washed down Seamus and the car, then hopped back onto the highway. It was a tiny preview of a trait he would grow famous for in business: emotion-free crisis management.”

emotion-free crisis management.

I see it as he could give a $*^t about anyone/thing else - it's all about him and his agenda. I don't care where you sit and or what your needs are, just follow me. Not a man, by or for the people. And even Seamus can attest to that!

Our country is not a business where the owner does what he wants - he works by The Constitution and 'for the people'. Mitt is WAY TOO arrogant for that; RomneyCare ALONE is proof. His mindset parallels 'I'm the boss' Obama.

Underwhelmed by the story and think all in all it is totally creepy.

Wish I had a list of the GOP elites that would supposedly roll over Sarah. Just wish I had names.

“Wish I had a list of the GOP elites that would supposedly roll over Sarah. Just wish I had names.”

The story is believable, in spite of Politico’s leftist tilt to stir the pot. Rest assured though that no current or potential GOP officeholder wants any attribution to this plotting, else the grim reaper would be at their door. Boehner, McConnell, Romney, Gingrich are currently “persons of interest” using today’s vernacular. The price of highballs is going up at the country club

I admit I couldn’t follow JD’s campaign that closely, so I take your word for it that he was an effective campaigner and that the main problem was lack of dough. To think we have McCain and Graham back riding sidesaddle makes me sick.

that he was an effective campaigner

I don't live in AZ, so I don't know either. But I would think - effective campaigner ala community organizer - is not a way to judge a candidate - I would think it's the message, the character.

They want change and they vote in the same old RINO. Sad commentary to the farmer who lost his life at the hands of the illegals.

Upsetting the Party’s recent nominee for President was a tall order though. And McLame ran to the right, aided and abetted by the MSM. In the debate, JD did okay, but not as well as I would expect from a guy who gets paid to talk for hours a day. Seems to me, an incisive intellect could have shredded McCain, money or no.

“Some Republican leader has told them that the Republican leadership is right now as we speak coalescing to find somebody to oppose Sarah Palin.”

Translation:
Some RINO leader has told them that the RINO leadership is right now as we speak coalescing to find somebody to oppose the will of the republican base.
