It was so nice to see him - I know he spent too much money, but he cared about America. He is a good and decent man.

When did George H. W. Bush start using a cane? He still looks good, but it appears he’s having some trouble getting around.

I had heard reports that HW's health was failing, and this video confirms that.

HW and Carter were both born in 1924, and it pains me to think that Carter may outlive him.

It's funny to see Barbara with her little point-and-shoot camera. As if all public moments in her family aren't documented by hundreds of professional photographers at every second. She's not arrogant like other First Ladies I can think of.

Both Bushes made a lot of mistakes for our country, but in the end they're a class act, not an embarrassment to the people of America.

When I see Clinton at an event such as this I harbor only curiosity and I wish them Dems would feel that way. On the other hand when I see Jimmy Carter in any way I throw up in my mouth a little.

I was just going to say the same thing....I was sitting here in tears - I’m not a Lyle Lovette fan but he did a great job with the National Anthem - no screeching or screaming - just a great heartfelt version and then out came Bush-41 and Bush-43 and W threw a strike - just like he did at Yankee Stadium after 9/11........class, class, class!!!!!! Lordy, I miss him every single day.........

10-4!!!

I take it by the way the three men were interacting, Nolan Ryan is a Republican.

Now let’s compare Bush’s pitch tonight to that pansy assed Barry’s pitch earlier this year. Real man vs real wimp.

I just saw it. Very heartwarming. Barbara Bush and Laura there cheering them on. George HW looks very feeble. Nolan Ryan had to help him out of the cart.

Dubya was very casual in throwing out the pitch but it was a good one.

Lyle Lovett did an excellent job. No dramatics or attempts to rock it, just a solid delivery and he has a great voice.

Gotta say it, the Rangers deserve the win just for this great opening ceremony.

When did George H. W. Bush start using a cane?

I think it was the middle of last year. He's 86, after all, and has been looking more frail this last year.

Yes it was a heart warming sight. I can’t wait to see how if Jon Stewart or other wise guy liberals find something to make fun of with the 2 Presidents Bush. Because for that class of liberal/radical which politicize everything, they would even politicize a baseball team giving an honor to two former presidents, if those presidents aren’t liberal.

Later, the camera showed them eating peanuts and Barbara writing down stats!
