They practice agricultural totalitarianism regarding potato acquisition and sale so why not pumpkins. It’s the Idaho way!

And here I thought that Idaho was the “last bastion of freedom” in the USA.

They have to prove they are authorized to sell pumpkins, but criminal aliens don't need to prove their eligibility to vote.

Idaho's been bad about that for years. My church got around it when the tax commission came knocking in the 1980s by going to a "donation" for car washes. The car wash was free, with a suggested donation of $5.00/car. If you're not selling them, they can't hassle you about the tax.

They'll also come after you if you have more than a certain number of yard-sales at your address per year (IIRC, you can have up to two a year, before they start calling you a business). The original complaint by the revenuers was that some folks operated perpetual yard sales as a source of income (I have yet to figure out how that works).

Even in Idaho? Government is WAY out of control. It’s time to take America back and get the government back to it’s proper role and enumerated powers.

This kind of thing makes me want to scream. Maybe people should give the items free and accepting donations. Then the State is not entitled to sales tax. I’m sure most would contribute, especially we independents who want to keep as much tax out of all levels of government!

Me too. I'm terribly disillusioned.
