Would haveing your gall bladder removed ( had 1 cm gallstone), talk about fetal position pain.
Anyway, I notice that since then I have had this problem. It seems I am not processing food properly.

I have tried everything. All I get from my Doc is it more fish. Now I love fish but Doc, give me a break.

The reason I am leaning towards the protein diet is for muscle health and connective tissue health. when nothing seems to fit the situation, people are left their own devices.

The gall bladder stores bile and then squirts it out in controlled doses in response to fat in diet. The bile emulsifies the fat so that it can be absorbed. The reason that gall bladder disease hurts is usually because of gall stones getting caught in the bile duct. This causes spasming of the duct. Activation of stretch receptors can result in extreme pain. After having the gall bladder removed, the liver still produces bile, but it makes its way in a more uncontrolled fashion to the small intestine in response to ingested fat. Too much bile dumped at once can cause diarrhea and a lot of intestinal distress. It took me years before I started adjusting after having my gall bladder removed. I just had to make sure I had immediate access to a restroom when going out to dinner. It's not so bad 19 years later.

If you have an amount of meat the size of a pack of cigarettes per day, you'll have far more than enough protein for all your protein needs. The one most essential ingredient for good connective tissues is vitamin C (though not too much because it can have a laxative effect in large doses). You can't make collagen without it. It's essential for wound healing. Unless you have a small bowel disease that impairs nutrient absorption, if you have a great enough food intake to satisfy your gross kilocalorie needs from a wide variety of foodstuffs over the course of a couple weeks, you'll have about all the vitamins and minerals you need to prevent vitamin deficiency diseases. You may need something extra to boost calcium intake (not bone meal since that can contain heavy metals) and vitamin D if you're not getting enough sun. There are many long term unexplained pains that have been found to codistribute with very low vitamin D levels and which, after supplementation with vitamin D, have been resolved successfully. Too low a vitamin C level can also result in vague pains in muscles and joints.
