Mr Timms told the Old Bailey he thought Roshonara Choudhry, 21, was coming to shake hands, and she smiled before lunging at him on May 14 this year. Mr Timms, Labour MP for East Ham, was sent ''reeling and staggering'' before retreating into the men's toilets at the community centre in Beckton, east London. His assistant Andrew Bazeley prised the kitchen knife away from her and she was placed in a ''bear hug'' by a security guard before police arrived. Another knife was found in her bag. Choudhry told detectives she was trying to kill Mr Timms for ''punishment'' and ''to get revenge for the people of Iraq'', prosecutor William Boyce QC, said. ''When asked why she had stabbed him a second time she said 'because I wasn't going to stop stabbing until someone made me','' Mr Boyce added.

This points out how surprisingly open MPs are to the public. Security is nothing like it is in the US. I suspect this will lead to more security and more distance between MPs and their constituents, which is probably a sad necessity (brought on, for the most part, by Left wing lunacy).
I thought that they already had outlawed knives over there.
45 Years ago, you could walk straight up Downing Street and take a picture of the door No 10 with a single unarmed bobby standing outside the door. Now, they have a massive gate cutting off the whole street and coppers that look more like assault troops in flak vests and combat boots, wielding MP5 submachine guns to make sure members of the public keep their distance. No wonder politicians these days act like they live in a bubble...
The people of Iraq owe this man a debt (though not as much as they owe to actual US and UK soldiers).
Screw you crazy lady, and enjoy being batsh*t insane, in prison.
I thought the Amish were Swiss.
She’s not crazy. She’s just being a good muslim.
Hmm, I suppose you could say that’s the same thing...
Somewhat puts the incident at the Rand Paul rally in perspective. Modern leftists (and the muz) are criminally insane.
It is very sad, but our own fault. Multicultural Countries are always less free, strict laws are needed just to stop the different communities turning on each other.
