Hubby voted this morning and they asked for ID.

I showed up later, ID at the ready, asked if they wanted to see it and the kid told me, “No. We’re only asking certain people for ID.” I was so shocked I couldn’t even think about asking him just WTH does that mean?

If it was, as you describe, “a kid”, I’d cut him some slack thinking he meant to say “random” instead of “certain”.

Interesting. Mine is from India, and has a goatee, I tease him he could pass for a terrorist when he scowls or is thinking serious things—I’ll see if they ask for my voter’s card or DL when I go to vote in a few!
