New Mexico regulators are set to decide today whether to adopt a state proposal that would establish a cap-and-trade program to control greenhouse gas emissions.
The New Mexico Environmental Improvement Board is considering a petition by the Environment Department that would allow the state to participate in a regional cap-and-trade program with other Western states and Canadian provinces that make up the Western Climate Initiative.
~~snip~~
Jim Norton, director of the department's Environmental Protection Division, said New Mexico has a chance to be a leader when it comes to adopting climate regulations. With global warming, he said the state could face more drought, reduced snowpack and more intense wildfires.
Critics argue that New Mexico's emissions are only a fraction of the global problem and that handicapping the state's businesses with another regulation could prove economically disastrous.

No Smoking Hot Spot (The Australian)
That article takes Greenhouse Theory at face value and by the criterion set up in the theory itself finds no evidence of warming on the basis of greenhouse effect.
The Hidden Flaw in Greenhouse Theory
Falsification Of The Atmospheric CO2 Greenhouse Effects Within The Frame Of Physics
Harvard astrophysicist dismisses AGW theory, challenges peers to 'take back climate science'
It Is Impossible For A 100 ppm Increase In Atmospheric CO2 Concentration To Cause Global Warming
Those four articles each show that Greenhouse Theory has no basis in reality due to a direct conflict with the known laws of physics. No wonder the smoking gun "hotspot" can't be found.
Claim That Sea Level Is Rising Is a Total Fraud
That article pretty much puts the kibosh on any serious trend of planetary warming from any cause. Think about it. If there is absolutely no sign at all of rising sea levels how could the planet be warming? Beyond the centuries long slow warming of the earth and rising of the seas of course. But that is only a few millimeters per century due to the inter-glacial period we are in.
Richardson, the Anchor Baby “Pay-for-Play” Marxist.
Other "legacy"items include banning of drilling mud pits throughout the state, even when no groundwater is present, and Richardson's Railroad which travels up and down the Rio Grande corridor with a couple of hundred passengers per day with taxpayers paying 87% of the cost of operation.
In a state where we are so abundantly blessed with natural resources that provide jobs to thousands, I have no idea how anyone, regardless of political affiliation, can in good conscience vote for this crap.
who covered for Wen Ho Lee by slandering Notra Trulock;
who was too corrupt for Obama's cabinet;
and who has presented in the extant case as a burrito too far for Denish.
Incidentally, Des Moines WHO 1040 AM hosts Steve Deace and Jan Mickleson have had Gary Johnson on their programs repeatedly this year.
He was forthright about his liberal use of the veto pen.
Meanwhile the Crisco Kid can count Harrison Ford's wedding as his contribution to greenhouse gas emission.
As Jan Brewer landslides to victory.
Doesn't matter what the science says, these radicals are on a crusade and want to penalize us all for living and breathing out CO2. Of course the reality of the rest of the world pumping out millions of tons of CO2 while we control our small portion at a large economic cost doesn't enter into either their equation or their thinking.
Cap and Tax ping.
Unfortunately it is not up for a vote and the states Legislature has backed away from what is being proposed twice I believe. Richardson is doing this by decree.
If Richardson can simply pass this by decree, Susana Martinez can just as easily repeal it by decree. This is just Richardson’s final oink.
Which means it can be overturned by decree as well. Which gives the DemonRATs a talking point about how the eeeevil republicans are destroying the environment through their meanness. Too bad you can't launch impeachment proceedings after their voted out of office.

I’ll settle for indictments....
They must be jealous that Nevada has the highest unemployment rate. NM sounds determined to beat them.
Indictments. Read my tag line.
it was approved :-(

I guess the new gov will just have to repeal it
