A star lineup of Dems led by Vice President Joseph Biden yesterday hit Quincy to make a last-ditch pitch for the open 10th Congressional District seat.

“Get up, folks. Get up and go out and get these folks to vote. Do not take this lightly,” a vehement Biden urged a crowd of several hundred at a rally for Norfolk District Attorney William R. Keating, who is running in a close race against Republican Jeff Perry.

The campaign stump in Quincy comes as prominent Democrats make last-minute pitches across the country amid fears the party will lose control of Congress. President Barack Obama campaigned in Philadelphia yesterday.

“We are on the eve of an extremely important election,” retiring U.S. Rep. Bill Delahunt told the rally, which also featured a speech by U.S. Sen. John Kerry. “This election is not about who wins or loses. This is about America’s future.”

“The stakes couldn’t be higher,” Vicki Kennedy, the widow of the late U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, told a crowd of several thousand who gathered in the Quincy field decorated with pumpkins and hay bales.

Biden blamed Republicans for the country’s economic collapse and took aim at Perry for claiming to be a fiscal conservative while his party left the country with a huge national debt.

“How can Perry or the Republican Party talk with a straight face about fiscal responsibility? Give me a break,” Biden said. “Next time a Republican talks to you about fiscal responsibility, tell them, ‘Forgive me if I laugh in your face.’ It’s bizarre. It’s bizarre. They have no credibility.”

"Get up, folks."

I can't believe Biteme dusted off his now famous phrase and used it again!

9/10/08 - Biden had an awkward moment during a rally in Columbia, Mo., Tuesday. At the start of his remarks, he pointed out several state lawmakers in the audience for praise. When he got to Chuck Graham, a state senator from Green Meadows, Biden urged the lawmaker to “stand up Chuck, let ‘em see ya.”

But Graham, who is in a wheelchair, can’t stand up – a fact Biden quickly picked up on.

“God love ya, what am I talking about,” Biden said. “You can tell I’m new,” he quipped, asking the audience to stand up for Graham instead.

The thing about Biden is that were he not first a Senator and then VP, he would be nothing—no one would like him or respect him. There are people you like and respect who are ‘just folks’ but he needed the cache of those offices to make him the dick he is—grinning, mocking people, being a wiseass, all things he can get away with because he holds office.

What a smirking, slimy douche.

He's just delivering talking points to the Rat zombies who are being kicked to the curb for burning trillions. This is the insulting, attacking response liberals are now supposed to reply with when they are faced with the fact that they lost everything because of their economic insanity.
