Amid beer and champagne flowing in the clubhouse of the San Francisco Giants late Monday, one thing was missing.

The President. Not the President of the ball club. The President of the United States.

He's utterly clueless.

But...but...but... he's so "brilliant", and...and...and... "articulate" (I don't know about "clean").

Joe is the clueless one!

By ignoring the World Series, I think Obama is publicly registering his hatred of traditional American values. The good news is that by leaving the show to GHWB and GWB, Obama is in essence conceding a huge chunk of non-partisan goodwill-generating opportunity to Republicans. This makes little political sense, at least not to me, and I have to imagine a lot of Democrat politicos wandering around scratching their heads in amazement on O’s audacity to refrain from participation. SF Bay is one of the most liberal areas in the nation and they have just been effectively snubbed by the most liberal president in history. O no longer seems to care that much about maintaining a facade of engagement with broad segments of the US population. The inference is Obama is psychologically unstable and the rejection of his political agenda and/or the evident failure of his policies has sent him into a politically self destructive tailspin.

OTOH O still has possession of the nuclear football.

I hope O does not ultimately drag the entire country with him into what seems almost certain to be his personal black hole of hopeless despair.

For some reason, I'm reminded of those old war movies where the Americans, suspecting someone was a spy, would ask, "Who won the world series in 1944?

... floowed by a long burst of machine-gun fire.

This ass wipe is not a unifier and that picture of him wearing the SOX jersey is proof he is not a President of all US citizens only some of them.

He’s having a little hissy fit. He was not invited to throw a first pitch and he saw the ovation given to the Bush men.

... we have no idea whether he is intelligent ...

I think we have a very good idea. He’s not very smart. Exhibit A is just how difficult it is to cite a single really smart thing he’s ever done, said or written. All he has is rote far leftist drivel he’s picked up over the years. He has nothing original whatsoever.

Plus, if he’d had any smarts in school his records/transcripts wouldn’t be under heavier security than our military secrets. That one legal article Lawrence Tribe wrote and tried to give Obama partial credit for was embarrassingly stupid. If that’s the best they can do we’re talking about a mentally average person *at best*.

There are some extremely intelligent people on the FR forum. I don’t know of a single one of them who believes Obama is that smart. He’s just a narcissist who learned how to game the affirmative action system from an early age—and I would bet the farm on that.

That’s fine. It was bad enough when he jinxed them in that Saturday game, and they lost... he was in the Bay Area, and it was bad juju all around.

(Love my Giants!!)

Um, psychological fragility is not all that it is cracked up to be with these types.

They start to destroy things - like Paris, if they can or blow up their own people for spite. . .for starters.

No, he is more dangerous when cornered. I am concerned about the fail-safe for this.

Ok, that answered my question. I didn’t know if that was a tradition, but then I don’t follow baseball that closely. Since he wasn’t raised here, you would think someone on his staff would have prompted him to pick up the phone. Or, like you suggested, he doesn’t give a rat’s backside.

I believe that is this case, the Democrats will straight- jacket zero if he really starts losing it. The Democrats have the most to lose in the short-term. Right now, I don’t think that zero can be certain of who his friends or enemies are. That could make this narcissist very paranoid.
The other check on zero would be the Republicans and the military. We could also invoke certain aspects of the 25th amendment if zero did really go loco.

“if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President”

More likely is a little visit in the oval office with the Democrat head honchos.

**************

When I said we have no idea if Zero is intelligent or not I was being kind — I truly think he is just a street punk with a gift of gab - he said himself “It’s a gift.” Can’t remember who he said that to, but he did. Revolting.

Agree that if Zero had grades or accomplishments pointing to above average intelligence, that info would’ve been spread far and wide. Instead there is nothing —

He’s the narcissist affirmative action “president,” a one-term token who deserves to get the boot ASAP.

Another display of class by the dude in chief.

Honestly though, I think the WH is completely dysfunctional and on life support. The Dude and all his advisers are too busy having personality crises over today's electoral repudiation and the big get out of dodge trip to India and Indonesia to worry about “all-american” stuff like the World Series.

Two on, two out, 1st base empty, 2-0 count to known home run hitter and you don't walk him?

29 out of 30 Major League Managers would have walked him.

Cocaine is a helluva drug.

I'm sorry...but the guy had 3 HR's all season long...with something like 22 RBI's....

He threw a bad pitch....but pitching to him was the right thing to do.
