I use that knot all the time, have for years. I must be a racist, I even use a close version of it to tie my fishhooks.

Well my deer isn't hanging from a noose....Ha!!

But I too..tie a noose-like knot..for my fishing hooks.

It's an easy knot..and a good knot.
