Shawn McCoy, a spokesman for Linda McMahon, tells Battle ‘10 he’s hearing the same things about turnout in Connecticut: It’s higher in Republican areas and lower in Democratic ones. “I think that having those two congressional races over there [in the fourth and fifth districts] — having them be close and having them drive turnout is a big boost to us,” McCoy says. “We’re seeing good turnout in precincts all across the state, especially Trumbull. I know there are some long lines there.”
McMahon voted in Greenwich at 6:30 a.m. this morning. Today, she’s visiting several polling stations throughout the state. Earlier this morning, she greeted voters at different stations with Republican mayors and Lt. Gov. Michael Fidele.
“Linda has proven to be a strong candidate,” McCoy says. “I think this could be the biggest upset in the country tonight.”
I just told my wife to pick up a six-pack of Pilsner Urquell for me...I was going to go with Guinness, but thought a PU might sit better with me...she likes PU, as well...

Well, I must say, I am getting a little excited....
Lived their for a while, but worked their for 15 yrs living north in Mass. Some of the most talented machinist, designers, draftsmen and engineers on the Planet were at CE, Hamilton Standard and Pratt and Whitney. They have been downsized and many are now retired or dead, ( they were old when I knew them )They designed and made things in the Halcyon days of the 50's through the early 90's. Now they may design, but they don't make squawt, much has been outsourced.
They weren't all liberals either blue collar Dems probably, they were thrifty and lived like many here on FR. Now Conn. is a shell of that former self, and It is a damn shame.
After all they have endured, let us hope they do not send this poor yuppie imitation of Thuston Howell the Third with a bad law degree and not an ounce of common sense to represent them. They do not need this man to make the State a laughing stock.
Their I feel better after getting that off my chest.
