Obama's Grand Strategic Error
The American Thinker ^ | November 03, 2010 | Christopher Chantrill

Posted on 11/03/2010 1:04:33 AM PDT by Scanian

So President Obama really is a socialist after all. According to Stanley Kurtz in Radical-in-Chief the young Obama went to socialist conferences in the 1980s and then became participant in the extensive socialist community in Chicago.

In the aftermath of the historic midterm elections it's safe to say that, whether the president really is a socialist or not, Americans don't care. Whether or not he walks and talks like a socialist, they just don't hold with a president in the White House that governs like a socialist. You can judge the depth of their displeasure for yourself by comparing the 2010 midterm election with other notable midterms at usmidtermelections.com.

Of course, the socialists that young Barack Obama palled around with in Chicago didn't call themselves socialists. They called themselves radicals, communitarians, and community organizers; they didn't want people to know who they were. Ron Radosh in National Review:

"As Kurtz reveals [in Radical-in-Chief], the socialist theorists openly talked about what they called 'stealth socialism' or 'incremental radicalism,' small steps that move the nation forward until the ultimate goal of a socialist transformation is obtained."

The grand strategy of the Chicago socialist community was Leninist: the worse the better. Lefty thinkers at the Midwest Academy dreamed up plans that would destabilize capitalism and then destroy it. Community-organizing outfits like ACORN would bully the banks and flood the mortgage market with dead-beat borrowers. Same thing on health care. They would load up the insurance companies with mandatory benefits and crash the health care industry. A frightened populace would demand a government takeover of housing or health care, and bingo: full socialism in America.

The Democrats are hanging on for dear life in the Senate.

Count on Hussein making a big, windy speech about the Senate seats and governorships saved for the Dhimmis and how the Dem party and leftism still represent the future.

He will have learned nothing and will not be in the least flexible.

He’s not Clinton. He won’t change course and that’s good news for our side. I want Obummer to keep on doing what he has been doing the last two years!

" He will have learned nothing and will not be in the least flexible. "

Those who are wrong and do not learn only dig themselves deeper in the hole.

Yes....and that is exactly what will happen.

Clinton is a politician with finesse...Obama is a rigid idealogue and will not change.

He never understood nor believed in the American people. And there were enough people to vote for him Because He Was Black, and enough people who also hated American exceptionalism to get him elected.

But his ways hurt us. And when Americans are threatened and hurt, we fight back. We defend. We died for our country right from the start, and we are still dying for it. We have only begun this fight.

More interesting are the statistics.

From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_United_States_Senators_by_age

The top 10 oldest current senators:
Frank Lautenberg, D-NJ: 86
Daniel Inouye, D-HI: 86
Daniel Akaka, D-HI: 86
Arlen Specter, fired-PA: 80
Jim Bunning, R-KY: 79
Richard Lugar, R-IN: 78
Dianne Feinstein, D-CA: 77
Chuck Grassley, R-IA: 76
Bob Bennett, fired-UT: 77
Orrin Hatch, R-UT: 76

Note that of the top 5, one’s been fired and three are liberal Democrats who are emphatically pushing the actuarial tables there. None of the Dems on the list look like they’re holding up well.

Hanging on for dear life is the operative word there... I expect Lautenberg to keel over or resign any day now.

“Of course, the socialists that young Barack Obama palled around with in Chicago didn’t call themselves socialists.”

That’s because they weren’t. They were posers. They really want socialism? Fine. Wait’ll I purge 100 million of them & the left. We’ll see how much they want socialism.

Oh? They thought they’d be in charge? So did all of Lenin’s opponents. LOL

The Lehman brothers collapse, the ensuing bailouts, the unemployment, foreclosures and Obama’s rise to power, all of it was carefully planned and choreographed. It was nothing short of a Socialist coup. After the 2008 elections, Obama proceeded to take over the census to implement more gerrymandering to solidify Dem gains for decades. Obama’s Chicago-Style ballot stuffing machine ACORN, SEIU & ‘Organizing for America’ was gaining strength...

Following his election, though, the Socialists started making mistakes. ACORN was exposed and defunded. The Rats wasted too much time on health care. They should of had that vote last summer. That was the first shot in the foot. They shot their other foot when Stimulus failed. They foolishly thought the economy would recover on it’s own despite the uncertainty they were creating.

They then proceeded to blow their own brains out with their arrogance. Obama’s stupid metaphors about ditches and slurpees and ‘messaging’ and implying that we were ‘too stupid to get it’ just highlighted his contempt for our intelligence. It’s a wonder they can keep their enclave out West and their firewall in the Northeast, but those parts of the nation really want Socialism and they don’t mind draggging the rest of the country down with them.

Obama and crew still don’t get it, though. Obama is coming out tomorrow at 1:00PM to speak. I already know how this is going. It’s only going to be conciliatory to a point. He’s going to try and plant the seeds of his ‘Do Nothing Congress’ re-election strategy. Republicans will be the target of everything that goes bad now. He will accept no responsibility and he will concede nothing.

Why is it that we kick commercial pilots out at 61, who are ONLY responsible for 200 - 250 people ONLY when they are flying, yet we allow these dottering, drooling, old fools, (who are responsible for 300+ million), to continue?

In most cases, they’ll be replaced by Republican appointees. Harry Reid should enjoy his majority if the Democratic octogenarians serving can last the next two years.

Do Nothing Congress’ re-election strategy. Republicans will be the target of everything that goes bad now. He will accept no responsibility and he will concede nothing.<<<<

The blessing in disguise here is the fact that we didn’t take the Senate all blame cannot land on a Republican Congress! Continued arrogance from the Dems will seal their fate in 12 and we have control of the purse strings!

This is good testing ground for the New Reps

Like I said on other threads, Dingy Harry has a majority in name only. How many Red State Democrats want to help the President now? They can see he has no coattails. And they’re not going for anything they can’t run on in the next election.

we should state clearly that our goal is to stop america’s descent into bankruptcy. This gives us both a goal and a reason to say no. it focuses our legislation and curbs obama’s desired actions. and it’s what the people want.
