I am absolutely thrilled. Frankly I never thought I’d live to see the day.

Down goes Oberstar! Down goes Oberstar :)

He gave a speech last night on local television claiming victory with his usual condescending manner, but with the southern part of the district still out overnight I held out some hope. At 3:45 this morning the district flipped.

Proud proud proud to finally turn red for the first time since 1946! We also got control of both the Minnesota House and Senate for the first time in forty years ... not bad at all.

The taste of victory and freedom has never tasted so sweet, eh?
I am very happy for you....and your great state to finally
get relief! The news of the state senate and house going
red is just icing on the cake.

...even if it does seem like there might be some delay and
hair-pulling where the governor’s race is concerned. Hope
you get your way on THAT one, too! :)
