Yep, she is an amazing lady with an inspirational story.
Despite the results, she remains a winner
and the voters who rejected her are the losers.

Larry Elder would have taken Boxer’s seat and the GOP would have had the only sitting black Senator. We can all thank John Cornyn for kicking him to the curb and backing Fiorina instead.

Must we always have the meaningless breakdown of every group?!!!

As long as the liberal press needs to keep us apart through race, we will always have this kind of crap.

Now Fiorina is free to find some other company to ruin.

You can’t gerrymander a state-wide election ‘district’ — yet....

Enough with the anti Carly sentiment, I worked there when she was trying to reform a company in trouble against a VERY entrenched good old boys club. HP was well past it's prime and the forces against change internally were too much entrenched in fighting each other to work as one to ensure the success of the entire organization.

I was an HP employee when the merger with Compaq came along, and in the position I was in I welcomed the infusion of new blood and saw the opportunity to shake the old guard up. But she got caught in the melee of political positioning and infighting and no amount of firing or reinvention can change that many minds who only cared about themselves.

Yes, I was laid off as the company had to slim down a bloated organization into one in alignment with revenues. She did not come through with a broadsword and do so for her own profit, she was intent on the rebirth of an innovative and inspired company. Interesting how the entrenched mindset of our state & federal government is very similar in it's view. No amount of her changes broke the internal warring camps who spent more fighting each other rather than as one. Have you EVER worked at a company where you clearly knew what you were supposed to do, and that role was aligned to a corporate vision? Did the company CARE about your ideas and insight or did you have a “manager” who merely wanted to keep you in check and justify their position by holding you back? That was HP!

Carly may have lost but I remain a firm believer in what she represents, and I would say to you unless you were there on the inside and take an objective look at the problem and the fix you cease the rock throwing.

Given the opportunity I would work with her in a heartbeat as I know where she is coming from, and let me assure you HP is not the only company in the same boat and with the same issues. We do not need more MBA’s and other mid level fat, we need to evolve companies into agile organizations that align to a stated purpose and reward the insight and innovation of their employees. It is coming and those who do not evolve will fall like the dinosaurs did.

Good post. The only reason she lost is California is full of nuts, simple as that. She was/is a very good candidate and would have made a good senator. I mean look they stopped Prop 19 and voted in Jerry Brown???

I think her little hospital trip last week may have hurt her too.

CEO hatred is a strong reason that she lost. The left has successfully made CEO hatred a national sport. Fiorina and Whitman were successful CEOs and moderate conservative positions. Compensation of CEOs is ridiculed as though CEOs are just rubes without any special talent.

Someone should tell the Democrats what their King rat is doing then.

He's selling America out to cheap offshore labor that doesn't get the benefits he is "mandating" in America.

Could that be because the whole state votes for the Senate seats. There is no gerrymandering designed to give a seat to a black Senator he/she must earn it. As for the House if there were not districts designed to insure a black win for that seat one has to ask could they win it on their own? Some could but some would NOT.

“Unfortunately she got trounced...
22.7% to 69.2%”

That is unfortunate. They obviously don’t want a truthful person representing them. I hope she doesn’t go away.

It’s quite surprising that Alvin Greene didn’t win. He seems like the ideal Democrat candidate to me.

You wanna buy about 10,000 Greene action figures?
