As for how bad some of the candidates are.....that’s the downside of the tea party putting in people that haven’t been in politics before. They don’t know how to campaign.
I sure as hell wouldn’t know how to get elected to the Senate on the first try.
Two points...why is this "experience" thing only meaningful for non-independently wealthy Republicans? Secondly, wasn't part of the point of the tea party movement to remove the entrenched politicians who've screwed up our nation's finances? It's nice to believe that we have a large pool of overlooked but responsible politicians who can be raised to the Senate but we have to take what can be gotten from the clay that is the non-political class. I do understand your point of not having a professional campaign staff but at the same time, it's chilling to look at the viciousness of entrenched power. Hopeful some people are looking.
