Let the redistricting begin! :)
And that was the last time the adults were in power and brought this country back to prosperity.
I pray that 1930s-redux isn't in our future, however.
Maybe Rahm won't be mayor afterall.
WI now has a real chance of becoming a relevantincubator for business of all types again...if I were our newly elected Gov I would be cutting radio ads to run in both IL and CA using his new slogan “Wisconsin is Open for Business!!!!!”
YES!!!
This is what I’ve been trying to tell the doom and gloomers all morning. There is a visceral change underfoot, I know it and feel it.
I had no expectations for the deep blue areas. They are what they are and I feel bad for conservatives that are stuck in those areas. The fact that both houses in Minnesota went GOP was amazing to me this morning. I gave up around midnight last night and awoke to a glorious sunrise. :)
The Democrats got stomped in Tennessee’s state elections.
And much of this local turnover can be attributed to groups like the Tea Party, which has become involved at all levels of government.
1. Voter photo ID laws. It’s TIME.
2. We need much better laws for fighting absentee fraud. Take the Bucks County, PA debacle as an example. I’d like to invite some discussion on this as we all know that the state Dem machines will be working overtime on fraud planning for 2012.
Time to start the process of repealing the 17th Amendment.
North Carolina may be the most egregiously gerrymandered state. All the democRATs win 55% 45%. The couple of Republicans who win are 75% 25%.
That will soon change. Republicans control the NC state house and senate for the first time in 112 years!!!
This happened all around the country, and this is huge as there is redistricting up and coming due to census.

Going into the 2010 elections, Democrats held 60 partisan legislative chambers and Republicans held 36, with a couple of ties.
It looks like the GOP has picked up an astounding 20 chambers, including both houses in Alabama, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin and additional chambers in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
In total legislative seats, it is possible that after all the results are posted, Republicans will have won a nationwide majority.
Republicans havent enjoyed this much power in state capitals since the 1920s.
The census is going to help the good guys/gals in 2012 as people have been fleeing leftist states and moving to nice conservative states because of lower taxes, nicer people, more jobs, more liberty, value for human life....
First up, save the Republic from the militant assult on liberty and life!!!!
Next up, Redistricting!!!!!
O.K., I like the result, but really which is/was more “dramatic”, the Democrat’s majority in 60 houses within the states legislatures, over the GOPs 36, a Dim margin of 24, or the new GOP advantage in 56 of those houses over the Dims advantage in 40 - a GOP margin of 16 (1/3 less than the Dim’s margin had been).
I am not trying to rain on the parade, but it is not particularly good to feel a whole lot better than is actually warranted. The GOP must not get comfortable and waste this “advantage”; it must work vigorously to add to it in the next round, not give back some.
