Illegal immigration is a law and order problem. Most of us on the right want our laws enforced. The lefties see it a bit differently, worrying first about how they can use Mexicans to stuff the ballot boxes, and second (if at all) about border integrity.

As for legal immigration—the countries we should favor would be those with people who have something to offer to America. We need more scientists, doctors, engineers and entrepreneurs. We don’t need any more landscapers, roofers, fruit pickers or bus boys.

One of the first order of business in the new House should be to pass is a bill forbidding federal money be sent to Sancturary Cities or States. (if you can’t get the State added settle for cities) Putting everyone of record is a win-win situation for US.

I believe this is true of the governor’s races too. I believe several of the governors who won ran on a promise to push a Jan Brewer-style enforcement law. Now we have to hold them to that promise!!!

HOW DO YOU THINK ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AFFECTS THE ECONOMY, THE NUMBER ONE ISSUE ON THE BALLOT???? Millions of jobs taken by non taxpaying illegals, cost of education, food stamps, housing, criminal system, medical costs, school meal programs, drain on utilities, etc... Get rid of illegal immigration and you put a huge dent in our economic downward spiral.

Almost all immigration should be shut down whenever the unemployment numbers go above 7 percent.

one massively publicized counter-example of amnesty-champion Sen. Harry Reid keeping his seat from immigration-enforcement advocate Sharon Angle in Nevada. Certainly, immigration was a hot issue in that race, and both candidates made it clear that they represented opposite positions. In that case, voters chose the high-immigration candidate over the low-immigration candidate, although several other major factors were involved.

With the large construction boom that Nevada went through in the years right before the economy took a dive I am sure large numbers of illegals moved to Nevada. It doesn't take much imagination to come to the conclusion that many that voted for Reid are in fact here illegally.
