Rangel won another term by a wide margin Tuesday despite lingering concerns over ethics allegations

Staffers purchased a dozen bottles of champagne weeks ago to celebrate Representative Charles Rangel’s victory Tuesday night. But the short celebration at the Martin Luther King Jr. Democratic Club on 128th Street and Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard did not pass without mention of the 40-year incumbent’s upcoming public trial for ethics charges.

Rangel won another term by a wide margin Tuesday despite lingering concerns over ethics allegations related to failing to pay income taxes and not properly disclosing personal assets.

Rangel—who won a crowded primary race in September and earned nearly 80 percent of the vote Tuesday—has, it seems, developed strong loyalties in Harlem.

When reporters at the victory press conference asked about the upcoming Nov. 15 trial, Rangel replied, “I’m glad you brought that up. I’m really not thinking about that tonight.”

It speaks volumes about his constituents, doesn’t it?

With Tangel and his supporters it is all about race and nothing but race. His supporters bees black. He bees black. That is the totality of why they vote for him.

Black Democrats would rather elect a corrupt black man who will lead them into a concentration camp than elect a white person who would lead them into wealth (trouble with whites and wealth is that a lot of whites think you have to earn it which doesn't sit too well with the majority of blacks. They bees OWED).

Whenever I think about Rangel, and those that vote for him, I am reminded of a scene from Laurence of Arabia, and Laurence saying:

“So long as the Arabs fight tribe against tribe, so long will they be a little people, a silly people - greedy, barbarous, and cruel, as you are. “

Rangel will be tried and get a mere slap on the wrist (if that) long before the GOP takes over the House in January.

No surprise, considering the urban scum who vote for him.

It’s the old “Sure he’s a crook, but he’s OUR crook” argument.

“It speaks volumes about his constituents, doesn’t it?”

It sure does....I was talking to a Black woman in Mahattan today and she came up with “Those Republicans have the nerve to want to make people die.” What a freaking maroon. I bet she voted for Rangel.

She was letting her ignorance show, big time!

It was Republicans that freed the slaves. It was Republicans that passed the 1964 Civil Rights legislation.

It has always been the RATs that want to keep blacks in bondage.

Some people are just too damned stupid to vote.

“lingering concerns”

Lingering concerns? How about the stinking pig has been publicly ripping off the taxpayer, committing crimes, tax evasion and other acts of theft and corruption for years! Dammit.

Charlie Rangel has ethics problems? Rangel and ethical behavior cannot be used in the same sentence. Rangel and CRIMINAL behavior, without a doubt.
